Even the animals we wouldn’t consider as “sentient” or “valuable” as other animals still have feelings. It’s often easy to forget that even farm animals have the same capacity for pain, feelings, and emotions as our household pets do.
Videos like this one show just how appreciative and aware these animals are.
Cows usually draw the short stick every time. Most of them are raised to be killed for meat, and the others produce milk by repeatedly being impregnated and then having the calf taken from them. When they stop producing milk, they are usually sent off to be “processed.”
Bandit is a bull that was rescued and showed his thankfulness to his rescuers in an incredible way.
Bandit the bull lived a rough life. Every day was spend chained up to a pipe, standing on a concrete floor. He couldn’t move around and only had the floor and the wall to look at.
Gut Aiderbichl Estates is an organization that is devoted to saving and helping animals.
There have been hundreds of rescues, and the result is always incredible to watch. Since the animals have lived such hard lives, any amount of kindness shown to them is shocking and worthy of love. When the crew rescued Bandit, we get to see a little bit of that love.
Bandit lived in a narrow stable, tethered to a post for his entire life.
The crew came in and rescued him, bringing him back to their facility to care for him. Then, they had saved over 500 bulls and cows from various places. The first thing they did was to provide Bandit with a soft bed.
After a life of ropes, metal, and concrete, straw was the softest thing in the world!
When they let Bandit free into the pen, the response was at the same time crushing and heartwarming. The crew called it a “freedom dance,” and after watching it, it makes sense.
With a bed of his own, Bandit goes to feel a small comfort for the first time.
Like a little kid playing around, Bandit leaps and plays around! Nobody watching this can deny the incredible joy coming from the cute little animal. Bucking and running in play, Bandit soon tires and wants some snuggles.
After playing for a while, Bandit goes up to his rescuers and places his head gently on him.
In one of the cutest moments ever recorded, Bandit walks up to his rescuer, Christian, and gently places his head on his leg. Tired, happy, and content, this little bull was saved from a terrible future and a life of pain. Now he has a bed of his own, a friend who cares, and things to look forward to.
Little Bandit probably took a really good nap after this!
After all he went through, a good nap was needed after all the excitement. Thankfully, he doesn’t have to worry about what his future holds anymore.
