When animals attack.

You can never be safe beside an animal, particularly those wild ones. When their animal instincts kick in, you better run for your life because you’ll never know what’s coming your way. We’ve already seen tons of videos where humans are horrendously attacked by wild beasts like lions, tigers, bears, crocodiles, and a whole bunch more.

Animals, especially carnivores, prey not only on smaller animals but also humans. That’s the main reason why it’s never advisable to be near them because they might attack anytime.

While we usually fear carnivore animals, little do we know, even herbivores could also bring us havoc just like what nearly happened to the man in this video.

Moose on the loose.

Moose are quite intimidating when it comes to size because they are the largest of all the deer species. They are generally humongous in size, especially the males which can grow up to 6 feet from end to end. They also have huge antlers, long faces, and muzzles that dangle over their chins.

According to National Geographic, “In winter they eat shrubs and pinecones, but they also scrape snow with their large hooves to clear areas for browsing on mosses and lichens. These hooves also act as snowshoes to support the heavy animals in soft snow and in muddy or marshy ground.”

Although moose are not usually aggressive, there are still times when they attack humans and the damage that they could inflict on our bodies can be serious or even fatal.

A horrifying encounter.

A home security camera caught a heart-stopping encounter between a man and a beast. One morning, Curtis Phelps went out of his home in Anchorage, Alaska to put a bag of garbage inside a shed.

But while he was dumping the garbage in, a huge moose bull appeared in the camera’s frame and it looked like it was sneaking close to Curtis to launch a surprise attack.

As soon as the unsuspecting man turned around and was about to go back inside his house, he was stunned and unable to move a muscle when he saw the beast marching in towards him. Thankfully, he hadn’t stepped too far away from the shed, he had no other choice but to go back inside the shed and hid himself to avoid the possible attack of the horned beast.

It’s a life-and-death situation because a male moose of that size could do serious damage to Curtis’ average-size body.

Hide for your life.

The scary scene turned into a hide-and-seek game, thankfully, the bull moose didn’t pursue its attack and decided to walk away instead. Imagine if Curtis noticed the moose just a little late, things could’ve ended up pretty bad for him.

His presence of mind and calmness saved him big time in this scary situation. It’s actually one good way in dealing with a possible animal attack, stay calm, and go somewhere safe. We all know it’s hard to be calm during such situations but it could save you from aggressive wild beasts.
