What will you do if you see a fluffy dog’s head pop up out of the grass?
Aside from admiring its cuteness, you’d also probably wonder why it’s there, out of nowhere, right?
Laura was driving to their family ranch and spotted a rather fluffy and cute head poking out of the grass.
She had to stop the car.
Carla Jean, her sister, went out of the car and decided to approach the dog.
At first, she thought the dog would run away and be scared of her, but it didn’t.
The fluffy dog seemed to have been waiting for her and went with her in the car.
They checked if the dog had a collar and he didn’t.
The first thing that they had to do was to give the dog a makeover since his fur was matted and he was very dirty.
Laura started calling him Murphy.
They got him groomed and found out that he was about three years old.
After the checkup, they also found out that he had a torn ACL, fleas, and hookworms.
They had to shave him down, give him all his needed vaccines, and give him antibiotics.
For those who are wondering, Laura said they think he is a Lab-poodle mix.
In a three-part update they posted on TikTok, Laura explained that they scanned him for a chip, tried to look for Murphy’s owner, and even spoke with all the locals.
She also said that they found Murphy out of nowhere in Texas.
After a week of staying in Houston and trying to find Murphy’s owners, they ended up with nothing.
Laura and Carla had decided to bring him to Michigan.
Both women had dogs that recently passed and they think this was a sign that they were meant to be together.
Carla drove 23 hours with Murphy and it was an unforgettable journey.
Laura flew to Michigan with her kids.
They decided that it was Carla who would keep Murphy.
In the third update, Laura shared that Carla lost her rescued dog, Sunny.
Sunny, like Murphy, was found on the roadside, very similar to how they found the big fluffy dog.
For the sisters, it was fate, and Sunny must have sent Murphy for Carla.
Aside from this beautiful miracle, the sisters saw similarities between Sunny and Murphy.
They were both calm, docile, and have the same golden color.
Laura said that she firmly believes that when the right time comes, things that are meant to be will happen.
Once home, Carla’s family and pets welcomed Murphy into their home.
Roxie, Carla’s other dog, and Bruno, her cat, welcomed Murphy as their family.
Murphy adjusted really well, not just to his new home, but to his medication.
He was better in no time!
Murphy loves to play with his new family and loves to sit on Sunny’s spot.
Both Sunny and Murphy also loved sitting on the patio furniture.
Most especially, Murphy didn’t replace Sunny, but rather, filled the empty hole in Carla and her family.
