While you wouldn’t usually see these to very different creatures acting as friends in the wild, they have had a unique upbringing. When Bonedigger was just a cub, he was suffering from a rare metabolic bone disease that caused him to become unstable. They decided to give the lion cub a puppy to boost his spirits! After five years, the two are still best of friends.

Owners know their dog’s behaviors and personalities. When something is off, it usually isn’t too hard to tell! Scott and Nico were going about their business when they realized that Mango, one of their two dogs, had a weird obsession with their outdoor shed!

Going outside one day, Scott realized that Mango had done something way out of character.

When Scott went outside one day, he realized that Mango had done something concerning. Walking up to the shed, he noticed that Mango had chewed through the entire front of the shed and pulled the glass and door right off of it!

Scott was astounded.

For your pets to do something entirely out of character like this was concerning! Scott even said:

“These are normally very well behaved dogs and it was totally out of the ordinary for them to just chew through the door like that”

Nico had a great idea, however, for why the dogs were acting so strangely. She thought that it was likely that a chipmunk had gotten into the shed, and the dogs were trying to get at it. Boy, was she wrong!

Placing a piece of plywood over the door, Nico and Scott thought they solved the problem.

After another few days, Nico was walking around the shed and saw that Mango had once again chewed a hole in the wall! Pulling out her phone, she started filming the location where he chewed through, only to stop in her tracks.

With her camera on, she heard the quite meowing of a kitten stuck inside the shed!

All this time, Mango and his brother weren’t trying to cause trouble; they were trying to rescue a stuck kitten! Opening up the shed, the couple soon realized that the kitten was abandoned and stuck inside the shed.

Using food to lure it out, they were finally able to get the abandoned kitty inside.

Who knows how long the kitten had been inside the shed for! Without a doubt, the two determined dogs saved the kitten’s life. Now that they had the kitten, however, it was time to find it a forever home!

Scott and Nico really wanted to keep the kitten, but Nico was allergic.

Cat allergies are nothing to sneeze at (gotta love a good pun)! Thankfully, the couple knew a friend that was asking around only a few days ago if anyone knew where she could get a kitten. Well, today was her lucky day!

Ginger Rogers came to pick up her new friend and thank the dogs who saver her life.
