Do you believe in miracles? If not, the story you’re about to read might convince you that miracles can happen. Only a miracle helped an abandoned dog survive Christmas after her irresponsible owner dumped her in the dumpster.
She might not have survived if the Villa Rica Police Department hadn’t found and rescued her.
She was found starved and frozen in a garbage bag on Christmas Day
Alone, cold, and malnourished, she was found by a police officer who immediately took her to Atlanta West Veterinary Hospital where she made a miraculous recovery! It prompted those at the veterinary hospital to name her ‘Miracle’.
While Miracle is yet to make a full recovery, she’s quickly become everyone’s favorite and restored people’s belief in Christmas miracles
“A tremendous amount of work and love from Dr. Burnett and the staff here went into saving Miracle,” practice manager Jenkins said. “She was frozen almost solid and Doc thought three times he was going to have to put her down. But she kept on fighting and so did we.”
The Atlanta Veterinary Hospital posted the story about Miracle on their Facebook page, stating that Miracle is doing well and would be examined the next day to make sure her recovery is going as it should.
A true fighter, Miracle was quick to regain her strength after an ordeal she’d been put through.
Not only has Miracle made a quick recovery but also found a new home, far away from her previous owner who risked her life by throwing her in a dumpster on Christmas day.
“Your prayers are working!! Our little Christmas Miracle is doing better! Her temperature is normal, she’s picking up her head and trying to look around. She’s swallowing on her own. The police officer who found her is going to give her a fur-ever home of her own.! Keep the prayers coming for a complete recovery!”
Despite everything she’s been through, Miracle was determined to keep on fighting, and thanks to the tireless efforts of the Atlanta Vet Hospital staff, she now has good chances to make a full recovery!
The Villa Rica Police Department is on the lookout for Miracle’s former owner
The police dept said they were looking for information that could help apprehend the suspect(s) responsible for throwing Miracle in the dumpster, after receiving a call from PETA.
“Their organization is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) responsible for dumping the dog now identified as “Miracle” in the dumpster at Wilson Mill Apartments in Villa Rica,” the Villa Rica Police Dept, wrote in a Facebook post.
We hope that those responsible will be identified and brought to justice for what they’ve done to Miracle.
In the meantime, Miracle is making good progress with her recovery
Several days after she was rescued, Miracle was treated at the Atlanta Vet Hospital for ‘upset tummy’, the Hospital wrote on the Facebook page they set up to keep everyone updated on her recovery.
We keep our fingers crossed for Miracle and hope she’ll recover her strength and find the warm home she deserves. There’s something heartwarming about her miraculous rescue on Christmas day and the way she nearly escaped death in a cold dumpster, abandoned by her owner.
Miracle’s story proves that miracles don’t happen only in the movies; sometimes, they happen in real life as well.
