If you have ever owned a husky, you know exactly just how high maintenance they can be! They are always GO GO GO in everything they do. It’s part of the charm that they have! No matter what, you can always expect your husky to be down to play, any time of day.
Huskies need that energy to do what they were bred for.
Originally, the breed was used as sled dogs in the arctic. Nowadays, they don’t do that as much, but they still make great family pets! Since they have such high sled-pulling energy, that translates into a fun and upbeat pet to have around the home.
With so much energy, some people worry about them with children.
Since they are larger dogs and have so much untamed energy, it’s easy to give them a bad rap when it comes to babies. Thankfully, videos like this one exist! They just go to prove that a dog understands the “little people” in our lives, often more than we even know.
In a viral video, we see a hilarious relationship between one baby and a husky!
The baby looks really young – under a year for sure. We see him crawling up to the dog to pet him. Reaching out his hands, he can’t quite reach the fluff that he wants so badly! Finally, he reaches the dog.
When the baby finally sneaks up on the dog, he can touch him!
The dog looks like an absolute PRO! He lets the baby sneak right up to him and stood frozen while he let the little boy grab him. After the baby knows that his fluffy friend is down to play, he goes for the gold.
Reaching out with a laugh, the baby grabs the husky – and he responds!
The husky does something hilarious. Instead of viewing the baby as a nuisance to be dealt with, he decides that he wants to play as well! Dropping his head suddenly, the husky rolls on his back and up under the chin of the little pink human!
From his new vantage, he can better play with the baby!
Now, he has no restrictions on how he can lick his baby friend. From this new perspective, nothing is holding him back from ALL the licks that he can give! The baby originally thought that this was going to be an ambush from his side! Turns out, the pup reversed it and is the victor after all.
The little moment is incredibly cute and has an important lesson.
Looking at this little moment is a great reminder that our understanding of dogs is always growing. Even though this breed is hyper and excited, he knows exactly what to do when there is a baby present. Dogs are often so much more intuitive than we give them credit for.
You just know that these two are going to be friends for life.
Having a fluffy friend as you get older is always the best. You just KNOW that these two are going to be getting into trouble. Dogs really are the best ever!
