We’re not entirely sure if it’s the dog herding the sheep or the sheep herding the dog in the hilarious video you’re about to witness.

A few years ago, a Norfolk terrier mix named Nelson was ‘working’ on a farm in East Sussex, United Kingdom. His task? To make sure that about a dozen sheep stay together and rounded up.

For most sheepdogs, this task would come easily and naturally – for Nelson? Not so much. That’s why he’s been officially dubbed the ‘World’s Worst Sheepdog’.

At the start of the video, everything seems to be proceeding as normal. Nelson confidently walks around the herd of sheep, circling them to keep them in line and in a huddle. All seems to be going well.

Then, things take a hilarious turn when one of the sheep decides to go rogue and run after Nelson instead! It’s not long until all of the other sheep follow suit and begin running after Nelson as well.

Soon, Nelson has swapped places with the sheep and all of them are on his tail!

Running from one end of the field to another, the hysterical chase ensues. It appears that a couple of sheep decided to stay out of the heart-pumping race and simply watch from the sidelines. How could you turn down free entertainment like this?!

Since the video was uploaded in 2016, it has earned over 4.5 million views and counting. People can’t get enough of this tiny dog being totally tricked by a herd of sheep. Here are some of the comments that have come in…

“Nelson is adorable! He’s not the typical sheepdog. He’s more of an exercise enthusiast. GO NELSON!” said one YouTuber.

“He’s not a bad sheepdog, they’re just good dogsheep,” rationalized another.

“He’s not running away from the sheep, he’s a natural leader….he’s leading the sheep,” commented another person.

“He’s found new friends to play with him. He even stopped to make sure they could catch up to him and get them all on board with his game. Let them be, they’re playing follow the leader and he won’t let any of them feel left out. 10/10 He is best leader,” explained a commenter.

Ever since the video was posted, Nelson has become quite the star. Now, he has his own website and Instagram page.

Regarding Nelson being a Norfolk terrier mix and a sheepdog? Well, it’s not your typical job for the breed. And clearly, Nelson struggles with the duties. According to Wikipedia, sheepdog breeds usually include Sheepdogs, Border Collies, Belgian Malinois, Hungarian Puli, Tornjak, and Canaan Dog.

Nelson’s owner, James, describes his dog on his YouTube Channel:
