This is Martyr. He likes to perch on his human’s shoulder and cling to her at all times.
He may look just like the average Calico, but he has a backstory that will make you want to hug all the kitties!
He was found in a dumpster by a kind woman who fosters strays and finds them forever homes.
One day she heard meowing coming from a dumpster. When she got closer she realized it was a kitten so young, his eyes weren’t even opened yet. He was seemingly crying for his mother who was nowhere to be found. Being the kind-hearted person she is, the woman took this cat home with her so he could soon be on the mend.
She took the baby home and nursed him around the clock. Soon the tough little guy’s overall health improved and he started putting on weight and gaining strength!
He had a bad paw, which eventually fell off before the kitten even opened his eyes.
She didn’t know the kitten was a “he” until he grew a bit bigger.
“The vet said it’s really rare for calicos to be male. What a special boy indeed,” the family said via Imgur. “He’s a normal happy kitty, healthy as a horse,” they said.
After his broken leg was fixed, he was soon on the right track of recovery.
The woman decided she didn’t want to give him up and so she kept him for herself. It has been about 5 months since he was discovered in that dumpster and he loves every minute of life!
“He’s growing up super fast! So loving and cuddly too.”
It’s amazing what a little love, care, and dedication can do!
