There are some instruments that seem almost magical when people play them. Of all the mystical, magical instruments, are there any more graceful than the harp? It’s rare that you meet someone who can play one. Even still, it’s cool to listen to someone play, especially when it brings out those “magical” vibes!
Naomi SV is a YouTuber who goes out into the forest to play her harp and the wildest things happen!

If you needed any convincing that harps are magical, you need to watch Naomi. In a video from October of last year, she decided to sit out with her harp and play some music while she recorded. What happened next was truly magical.

As Naomi played, nothing out of the ordinary seems to be happening.
Plucking the strings, she plays a Tom Waits song while leaning back against a tree. Naomi loves to play in the woods for the aesthetic and we love it! If there was ever an instrument that seemed to fit the forest, it would be a harp.
If you look closely, however, on the left side of the frame, we can see a woodland visitor!
The harp seemed to attract some attention from the wildlife! A deer had decided to come and listen to Naomi play and seemed drawn forward by the harp. With a snort, the deer runs off across the field.
That wasn’t the end though.
As Naomi continued to play, the deer just couldn’t resist coming back to see her. In what seems like a magical woodland scene, the music rings out and attracts animals. Is this a Disney movie or is it real life? At this point, what’s the difference?
Naomi looks around in shock when she realizes the deer was hanging around again!
The lilting melody rang out across the forest and field, seemingly calling the curious deer in to hear more! The entire scene makes you want to dawn your armor and go off, fighting dragons and looking for lost swords or something.
While we can’t go off on medieval adventures, we can listen to Naomi play her harp.
Like the deer sitting, frozen with curiosity and a bit of fear, we can all watch her entrancing videos. It truly looks like the deer is curious about the music, giving credence to the idea that animals like music, too!
As she finishes her song, she looks up to see her audience.
The deer was brave enough to get within 50 feet or so of Naomi and seemed to really enjoy the music (and we can’t blame it)! This video has over a million views already and it’s no wonder. We all love to feel a bit of magic in our everyday lives.

From pop to classical, she plays it all. It makes us think: do certain styles of music attract different animals? Maybe Shakira attracts squirrels – it’s time to find out!
