Sylvia started performing when she was a kid.

She was exposed to this field as she is the ninth generation of her family who is in line with circuit and equestrian training and performances. No wonder she’s so good at communicating with her stallions! Not all can have this skill, don’t you agree?

Sylvia Zerbini’s father is an animal trainer while her mother is an aerialist.

Whoa, with this rich background from her family, this may be one of the reasons why Sylvia excelled in this craft. In fact, she is one of the first who actually showcased aerial performance and animal or equestrian training in one stage. It first started with communicating with the horses and then incorporated equine ballet and music.

How did she learn to communicate with such animals?

That is the main question. Would you imagine yourself being able to understand and communicate with the horses at a very young age? In one of her interviews with Ocala Style, Sylvia said that she calls her animal training as “silent training.”

She doesn’t make use of whips or bridles to train these steeds. Instead, she bonds with them, observes how these horses communicate with each other, and from there, Sylvia learned that bodily gestures and non-verbals can be used to train the horses.

The horses are the stars of the show.

One can really feel the love and special connection between Sylvia and the horses. It goes to show how the horses are enjoying every performance on stage and the successful training done by the multi-awarded trainer behind the scenes.

Each gesture, non-verbals, and body movement are perfectly understood by the stallions, and Sylvia always makes sure that they are rewarded by treats and words of affirmation.
