If you have a backyard in an area with a lot of local wildlife, you might’ve come across a couple of sweet animals hiding in the grass, but this woman certainly got the surprise of her life when three adorable baby deer were hiding directly in her house to wait out the storm.
The woman posted a number of pictures on her Imgur account “Amscolie” of the three baby deer laying around in one of her rooms.
It was a very stormy day and a rainstorm was soon approaching. Knowing that animals might take refuge and would prefer to find shelter somewhere safe, she left her back door open.
In the meantime, the woman went out to check if she could find animals she typically cared for, a number of deer in particular. Even though Amscolie tried her best to find the animals, she couldn’t find them anywhere close – until she went back in her house.
It’s an absolutely amazing sight to behold because the deer already made their way inside.
Like many other animals, they can more accurately predict stormy weather and know when it’s too dangerous to stay outside. The science behind their storm predicting skills is still somewhat flaky, but they definitely knew that they needed to find shelter.
Because the back door was still open, the woman never even noticed that the trio came into her house.Three adorable baby deer had made their way in, with no sight of their mom or other siblings. The woman tried to find any others but to no avail.
Amscolie is a huge animal friend and raises orphaned wildlife. She has a special place in her heart for the local wildlife and was thrilled to welcome the three baby animals into her home.
“I raise orphaned wildlife. Recently, the back door was open as a storm was coming. The deer were nowhere to be found. Went inside, was heading to the front door, only to see them next to an end table in the living room. Told them they could sleep in the house for the night because it was going to be nasty.” She mentions via LittleThings.com.
The pictures that Amscolie shared are absolutely a treat to see. The three deer seem to have made themselves very comfortable and even played around with her dog a bit. She also mentioned that they love expressing their gratitude with a plethora of affectionate kisses.
