For those of you who are/have ever been pregnant or know someone who has, it is pretty clear that 40 weeks is pretty much the most you can endure a pregnancy for.

Swollen limbs, dietary restrictions, all those vitamins and pills, plus constant visits to the toilet are some of the things you won’t be missing after your sweet baby is born.

Now, keeping in mind that humans are pregnant for nine months more or less, imagine how female horses may feel who have to go through 11 to 12 months of pregnancy!

It seems only natural that when they reach the tenth month of pregnancy they are like “give me a break” or “please let me be, just don’t bother me, okay?” and don’t wish to have anything to do with you or your stuff.

That’s pretty much how the female horse in the video below must have felt when her owner and carer, Valentina, decided to do the “Baby Mama” dance with her. And the horse’s face seems to be confirming that guess.

Crystal, Valentina’s horse, was 10 months pregnant at that time and Valentina thought it would be super fun to dance together. And, although the young woman seems to be enjoying herself, Crystal “couldn’t care less”, as a YouTube user commented.

Valentina is lip-syncing and dancing to Starrkeisha’s song, while using several props to make her performance more amusing.

At first, it’s only the two of them, and Valentina is affectionately stroking Crystal’s belly, while she also makes some of the moves mentioned in the song.

“Drop it down, drop it down down low- Do the baby mama when I step out on the floor” we can hear Starrkeisha sing, and indeed Valentina does her squats and almost touches the floor when doing her dance.

And then she uses a torch as a prop, pretending to look at the horse’s belly as if she could spot the baby from the outside.

Speaking of props, Valentina also uses a bucket, a bottle, and a brush. Actually, Crystal might have enjoyed the brief massage Valentina gave her with that brush!

What is funny about the video is that, while the woman is feeling herself and just living it on her own, the pregnant horse is really indifferent towards her! She’s obviously busy carrying her heavy foal! Of course, this was something viewers observed and commented on.

“Crystal: ‘Yeah… I don’t know her'” someone wrote, while someone else commented: “Crystal be like: stop mom ur embarrass[ing] me…”

Eventually, the horse gave birth to a foal two months later, and Valentina even vlogged the birth, which she then uploaded on YouTube.

But, who started the viral dance?

It was Shay Mitchell, who, being pregnant and overdue last October, did the dance and posted it on YouTube going viral with about 9 million views! Mitchell had tried everything to get that baby out, and dancing seemed like a last resort to her. She actually gave birth 11 days after she posted the video.

Valentina the Cowgirl is a popular YouTuber who makes videos about her horses and she is also active on social media. Her “equine” channel has more than 130k subscribers, while she also has a beauty channel.
