If you currently own or have ever had a cat, you might’ve gone through the whole bath experience. Although kitties can swim just as well as dogs, most don’t want anything to do with water. Now, there are a few exceptions but those are few and far between.
According to experts, there are several reasons for this. For one, they believe that a lot of cats find water uncomfortable. Then there’s the fact that some have had negative experiences. Regardless of the reason, trying to bathe a kitty is usually a major challenge.
Starting early
Often, if you start bathing a kitten while young, they adapt quite well. Even better, rescued babies find water relaxing. So, to them, bath time is something to look forward to rather than dread. But you always want to check with a veterinarian first to make sure they’re old enough for a bath.

Just a baby
Check this out. One video of a small kitten getting its very first bath shortly after being rescued has been viewed more than 25 million times. And it was only uploaded to social media in November of 2019. Obviously, this precious baby has made quite an impression.

Living on the street
Someone found this gray kitty living alone on the street. Without human intervention, her chances of survival were slim. Even worse, the weather at the time wasn’t the best. You can see in the video that the ground was wet and muddy.

The sweetest meow
As the kitten walked up to the woman who found her, she began to let out the cutest meows ever. Just like the size of her body, the sound she made was just as small. When watching the video, you’ll fall in love with this baby immediately.

A dirty little girl
Considering that she’d been outside, she was rather dirty. So, the first item on the agenda was to give her a much-needed bath. The woman quickly checks her for any injuries and finding the kitten’s okay, she begins to run warm water from a sink faucet.

Taking it all in
As the water runs, the kitten just watches while in her rescuer’s hands. The stopper is then placed in the sink to allow it to fill but only to a safe level. Then very gently, the woman sets the kitten down into the water.

She remains calm
Although she’s still so young, most kittens her age would freak out. But not her. As the woman gets her wet, the look on this kitten’s face is so sweet. She looks incredibly relaxed. And by looking at the water, you can see just how dirty she was.

Loving it
This gorgeous kitten is enjoying every second of her first bath as the water becomes increasingly dirtier. Even when her rescuer washes her face and belly, she doesn’t struggle one bit to getaway. To her, the water is soothing.

Soap time
This appears to be one of her favorite parts of the bath. Now, the woman rubs soap all over her. It’s as though she’s getting a massage, which she apparently loves just as much as the water, if not more.

Perfectly content
Throughout the entire ordeal, you don’t hear a peep out of this adorable kitten. The only time she does anything is after getting rinsed off. It’s then that she shakes her tiny body, trying to help dry herself.

All done
With bath time over, her rescuer wraps her up in a soft, warm towel. At that point, the kitten looks as though she’s about to fall asleep. Although we don’t get to see the aftermath, we’re sure she was super fluffy and even cuter than before.

Getting dry and fed, there’s no doubt this baby took a long nap. Hopefully, the woman who took her in decided to keep her. But one thing’s for sure, she had to have looked much better with all the dirt removed.
