The cold weather is harsh for anyone, and it’s much harsher for this helpless 5-week-old kitten who got herself in an unfortunate situation.

It was just seven degrees outside in Commerce City, Colorado when a man named Michael happened to walk past a tractor-trailer just outside a tire shop. That was when he heard a tiny cry coming from the bottom of the vehicle and then decided to check it out.
He saw a tiny kitten in the most unfortunate state during the freezing weather.
When he peeked beneath the tractor-trailer, he saw a tiny kitten with its paws stuck on the tires and its tail on the frozen metal surface. The kitten couldn’t do anything but cry as it was frozen in place, and who knows how long it has been there. Since he knew he couldn’t just leave the kitten alone to die, he tried to think of something to help the poor kitten break free.
Since pulling is a bad idea, he did something better to get the kitten out of the ice.
You can’t pull the stuck kitten on the ice as it might just deal more damage to its tiny and tender bones. Knowing that, Michael thought of a better idea to get the kitten out of the frozen tires and metal – by heating the frozen area with warm water.
That way, he would not risk a kitten breaking its bones or perhaps wounding him by pulling. Also, there is no risk of the kitten being burned. This procedure went on for 20 minutes until Michael finally got the kitten free.

Michael did not waste any time and hurriedly took the poor kitten to the non-profit animal shelter Dumb Friends League. He made it just on time for the staff to take care of the kitty. If this kitten was left for another day, she might not have survived.
At the shelter, she received a veterinary exam, wherein they diagnosed frostbite from the swelling of her paws. However, they were quick to give her the treatment she needed. Also, they gave the kitten some warm food, a temporary shelter to live in from a foster home, and the beautiful name Berry.
The rescuer continued to keep an eye on Berry as she slowly recovers.
Michael couldn’t stop thinking of the kitten he rescued. He even thought of adopting the kitty once she’s available for adoption. Well, that time came just after a few weeks, and the once helpless and frozen kitty transformed into an adorable, cuddly cat that will give you some warmth with her snuggles. Berry’s hero took her to her new home and was slowly introduced to the family.

Michael has a cat named Cheddar and that cat was pretty much smitten to the little kitten the moment he laid eyes on her. They got along very well that you could see them spending their mornings and afternoons napping and window watching. Everyone’s just glad that this adorable kitten finally got the kind of warmth she needed.
