Bengal cats are inarguably a gorgeous breed of feline. And when you pair a gorgeous Bengal with a talented photographer and beautiful locations, you’re bound to get some amazing shots!
Bengal cats are a wonderfully unique breed. They’re known for their adventurous natures, love of being outdoors, boundless stores of energy. Even though Bengals are felines, they’re actually quite similar to dogs in temperament!
Martina Gutfreund is a photographer and traveler hailing from British Columbia, Canada. When she decided to adopt a cat, she thought a Bengal kitty would be the perfect match for her busy life on the road.
“My partner and I do a lot of hiking and camping together, and after our last kitty passed away, we decided to get a new kitten,” Martina told Bengal Cats. “This time around we really wanted to have to have a pet that we didn’t always have to leave behind on the weekends when we go our trips”
“I read up quite a bit about Bengal cats and how they are very high in energy.”
“We knew it could be a handful, but we had to be sure that our new kitty could keep up with our adventures!”
Suki, as the kitten was named, was the perfect addition to Martina’s action-packed life.
When Martina brought Suki for her first adventure (just one month after adopting her), the pretty kitty quickly adjusted to what would become her new, favorite hobby.
Bengals are stunningly gorgeous animals— and with Martina being a photographer, it didn’t take her long to realize that she had the perfect subject for her art.
Suki is (clearly) the perfect model to showcase these breathtaking, Canadian backdrops!
Martina says, “Taking Suki on our adventures is so much fun and she is really easy to travel with!”
“I think people enjoy seeing a kitty break the stereotypes that are usually associated with cats.”
“She is leash trained, loves car rides, goes camping, goes canoeing, loves water, goes hiking, and does just about everything that a dog can do.”
Not all cats enjoy traveling as much as Suki— but this little Bengal definitely breaks the stereotype of felines being “indoor” pets.
“Kitties are capable of a lot more than they have been given credit for!” Martina notes.
It’s impossible to tire of these beautiful photos. A stunning cat and some of Canada’s most amazing landscapes— what more could you really ask for?
