A dog’s loyalty never wavers and they will always show their love for those who have been kind to them. Sometimes, it gets to the point where it just becomes hard for them to let go. It seems that this one puppy became homesick after being separated from his foster mom at the shelter. People were just surprised by what happened next.
This couple loves dogs so much that they worked hard to give each one a home.
Stray animals and abandoned pets are apparent in every place in the world and it is just the same in a city called Fowler in California. However, in Fowler, their solution was to mercilessly kill these animals without giving them a chance to live a good life.
Pinky Paws ResQ, a non-profit dog rescue and shelter organization has been helping alleviate this problem using better means. The organization’s founder, Krystle Woodward, started saving dogs’ lives in 2006.
In 2011, with the help of her husband, Allen Woodward, they began to follow their shared dream of giving every dog a well-deserved home.
They both love their rescues as if they were their children.
The couple never picks favorites, but they give their rescued dogs equal love and care. The couple’s feisty fur-children chose, and Krystle was their favorite, especially for this one dog who considers her as the first and last love in his life.
Little Geoffrey was one of the temporary residents in the Pinky Paws shelter and he had yet to find a forever home. He was a very affectionate dog, and he was never ashamed to show that to his foster parents. Krystle knew that he had to go one day to a family that befit his loving personality.
The shelter found the perfect home for Geoffrey, but the pooch didn’t think that it was the perfect home for him.
A family found and fell in love with Geoffrey, and after they processed the application papers for his adoption, Krystle was happy to send Geoffrey home with them. Even though it was goodbye, Krystle felt sad at the thought that they are going to be apart.
Geoffrey felt the same, and after he reached his new home, he started bawling from missing his foster mom. The next day, Geoffrey ran away from home to look for Krystle. However, the dog did not know the way and even got in a little car accident.
Krystle got news of the situation and helped look for Geoffrey.
Krystle had no idea where to look, but she insisted on coming out in the middle of the night to look for him.
Although she only got a few leads of Geoffrey’s whereabouts, she would still drive to where it was in hopes that she could see Geoffrey again. One day, Pinky Paws received a great tip saying that the dog was hiding in a warehouse. Upon checking, they saw Geoffrey hiding underneath a storage shelf. Krystle hugged Geoffrey so tightly and shed happy tears from seeing Geoffrey safe and sound.
He was already home all along.
Krystle does not want to be separated from him again and considered him a permanent member of the family. There was actually no need to send Geoffrey away to another home, as his heart was already with Krystle and the rest of the Pink Paws ResQ family.
