Dogs may not speak, but they also feel emotions.
These adorable dogs in shelters know when someone walks in looking to adopt.
They would wag their tail, jump up and down, and even show their lovely puppy eyes.
Each dog, waiting its turn to be adopted and to finally belong to a loving family.
SPCA of Wake County has several dogs available for adoption.
They named one of these dogs Ronald.
If you see Ronald, it’s easy to know why so many people are interested in him.
He’s a handsome good boy, don’t you think so?
Unfortunately, Ronald’s 14 attempted adoptions had all failed.
Can you imagine the heartbreak that Ronald felt when he drove back to the shelter and entered his kennel once again?
According to a post from the SPCA of Wake County, the people who adopted him weren’t ready for him and their reason for returning him was because of his massive size.
At just a year old, Ronald weighs 63 pounds and his build was really big.
Since he’s just a puppy, he would often play, run around, and when you give him love, he would stand up and put his front paws on you.
Sometimes, Ronald can also be a little mouthy.
After all, this big boy was still a puppy, and he has so much energy, happiness, and curiosity in him.
Even though Ronald is playful, he knows his commands really well, and he’s safe for kids, too.
He’s super gentle and sweet.
According to the shelter’s post, Ronald would be perfect for them if people would give him a chance and as long as they have steady footing.
They ask for their Facebook audience to share the post and break Ronald’s unlucky streak.
Indeed, people saw the adorable big doggo and shared the post 69K times!
One of the people who saw the post was a nurse from North Carolina, Kiersten Davis.
She called SPCA and arranged to visit.
She knew she had to act fast.
The post was viral, and she really wanted to see Ronald first.
Kiersten made a 90-minute drive to the shelter to see the big boy, and she fell in love.
The kind-hearted nurse knew how to handle high-energy dogs.
After all, she already has one dog in their home.
The family made a deal to do a trial for five days.
Sure enough, Ronald felt at home.
In their interview with ABC News, Kiersten’s sons even gave two thumbs up!
For her, Ronald is just a puppy who doesn’t know how to control his energy yet, and for her and her family, that’s perfectly fine.
The shelter posted an update and added that since the viral post; they have received multiple inquiries from people who want to adopt.
They said in their Facebook post that they have many dogs waiting to be loved and people are free to visit anytime.
Because of social media, Ronald’s unlucky streak had ended.
Finally, the big good boy has found the perfect family for him.
