Birthdays are a big deal whether it’s the first birthday, the 16th, the 21st or the 30th. No matter the number, birthdays are a special day — the very day you arrived on this Earth.
Families celebrate birthdays in different ways. A first birthday deserves an awesome smash cake. A 16th birthday earns a driver’s license.
A 21st birthday often rings in with some libations. Birthdays are celebrated with immediate family as a small gathering or a big shindig surrounded by friends.
Sometimes people embark upon celebratory excursions like a trip to a tropical locale. And others whose beloved pets have a birthday tend to party it up with their four-legged friends, too.
From peanut butter dog bone-shaped cakes to catnip cookies, pet parties are the best. The critters don’t really know it’s their birthday but they definitely love the excitement and attention showered on them.
The cutest pupper Bailey from Australia was turning 13 and his mom Katie D’Souza wanted to celebrate her senior dog’s birthday in a fun way. After all, we don’t really know just how long our furry besties will be with us.
Katie and her fiance Steve Powell planned an intimate gathering just for Bailey. They ordered a fantastic cake complete with bright candles.
With eager anticipation, they couldn’t wait for their guests to arrive to have a blast with their buddy.
Bailey knew something was up, but wasn’t sure. The mood was light and energy was in the air.
The next thing Bailey knows, he’s plopped into a chair at the table with a delicious looking masterpiece before him. The eyes say it all!
He’s mesmerized by the lit candles sparkling away. Then, suddenly, his loved ones burst out making crazy sounds – they started serenading him with the Happy Birthday song!
The look on Bailey’s face tells us exactly what he’s feeling. He eagerly leans toward his cake, wriggling in his chair.
He glances at his mom with absolute adoration. He even looks around at the people surrounding him who are there to party it up with him.
Bailey can feel the positive vibes aimed his way and he’s just so darn excited!
When they were done singing and clapping, Bailey and his momma exchange a kiss then together they blow out the cake. He licks his lips in excitement and just can’t wait to devour it.
You can just see him wondering what’s taking the hoomans so long to feed him some of this cake!
He was given a hot dog-shaped chew toy that he loved, but being showered with all that endearing attention made his tail-wagging day.

Bailey’s birthday video has gone viral and people can’t get enough of the cutie pie pupper. Many fans wished him a happy birthday on his mom’s Facebook page.
