Being a mother is such a wonderful experience.
It doesn’t matter what species you are, becoming a mother will change your life.
This is especially true if you have all the support that you need.
Even dogs, when they give birth, yearn for support from their owners.
They need extra nutrients, a comfortable place where they can give birth, and a support system that will make them feel that everything will be okay.
Unfortunately, one mama dog felt betrayed when her previous owner took her and her newborn puppies out of their home.
Suddenly, mama dog found herself, and her babies abandoned in a canal.
The dogs were left there without shelter, food, or water, and under the heat of the scorching sun.
Confused, hungry, and thirsty, they left the mama dog with no choice.
She gathered all her strength for her puppies, and she took care of them.
One day, Milan, one of the people behind Dog Rescue Shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, saw the mama dog on the sidewalk.
He immediately stopped the car and went to her.
The first thing that Milan noticed about this hardworking mama was that sadness and fear filled her eyes.
She was so sad and heartbroken.
From that moment, Milan knew that someone had broken this poor dog’s trust.
Milan works for the non-profit, non-governmental rescue organization called Dog Rescue Shelter located in Mladenovac which is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in the area.
Their meeting was fate, and Milan knew he had to do something.
Slowly, he approached the mama dog.
Mama dog lay silently as she hugged her puppies.
It looked like she wanted to ask for help, but you could also see how terrified she was.
Milan allowed the mama dog to sniff his hand and slowly, he started petting her.
He took the puppies and one by one, Milan kissed them, then placed them on a box that he saw.
There was a total of five puppies.
Once he was finished, he took the box and carried the mama dog to his truck.
He allowed them to settle on a crate with a blanket.
Then, Milan went back and scoured the area, making sure there was no puppy left.
Once sure, they all left and went to the shelter.
In the shelter, they allowed the mama dog to settle, giving her water and food.
She ate some and went back to her puppies.
All of them looked tired but happy.
After a few months, the video shifts to what the mama dog and puppies looked like today.
Oh! All of them looked so happy, healthy, and playful.
The puppies have grown so big now and they all look so healthy!
They have toys, enough food, water, and a loving family in the shelter.
According to the video, all dogs are ready for adoption.
This is where they need your help.
There may be people out there that will do some unimaginable things to helpless animals, but there are also a lot of kind-hearted people who will make sure that they’d rescue, rehabilitate, and love animals.
