Rescue dogs have often being through unimaginable suffering. The poor animals come into shelters feeling nervous, scared, and often a little bit down in the dumps. Different methods can help different animals to recover, and over time, most will begin to show their personalities once more.
One thing that can help dogs to settle into life at the shelter is by introducing them to another resident pup. Dogs are normally pretty sociable creatures, and the addition of a friend can make life feel just a little easier.
So when two pit bulls met for the first time in a LA shelter, we just knew that it was going to make a brilliant video. The two sweet dogs are absolutely overjoyed to see each other, and they immediately launch into a game that also looks comically like they’re busting out some dance moves. This will certainly warm your heart today!
The sweet video was posted onto YouTube by Hope For Paws – Official Rescue Channel, and since being shared it has received over 4.5 million views, as well as thousands of likes and comments.
The video shows rescue pooches Cadence and Chance playing the most hilariously adorable game with each other, and as they dodge and weave around each other, it looks almost as if they’re dancing!
Cadence has her own rescue video on the shelter’s YouTube page, where she was found in a terrible way after being used as a bait dog. The poor little dog was so broken, but here we can already see what some time surrounded by love and care can do for a dog!
A newfound confidence.
It’s so great to see ex bait dog Cadence taking the dominant role when playing with Chance. The excitable pup seems worlds away from the timid dog that she used to be, and you can see just how confident she is around Chance as she stands over him, taking full control of the game. It’s amazing to see her regain confidence in herself.
People took to the comments to express their love for the video, with one person saying:
“That girl has the best smile going. Pit Bulls have such expressive faces and some of the best smiles in the doggie world. I hope these two found their forever homes.”

“I really enjoy this video. I love Cadence’s smile. It is as though Chance could tell Cadence had been ‘dominated’ by others of their breed and stayed in the low, submissive posture to give her confidence and reassurance. It sure looks that way in her smile!”
At the time of posting in 2013, Cadence and Chance were both up for adoption, either together or separately. A lot of time has passed since then, and we’d like to think that these two dancing divas went off to their furever home together! We certainly wouldn’t be able to separate a special friendship like this one.
