Once tiny puppy is still under the impression that she’s small enough to use her sister as a pillow
Some things never change, even if you get older.

There’s nothing cuter than a puppy. They’re tiny, cuddly, and of course, mischievous. As you know, all puppies grow up to be adult dogs. But in their minds, they’re still little rug rats. This is especially true with certain breeds. Their bodies grow but their minds remain young.

Meet Frannie

Frannie had lost her two sisters just a few months back after they were adopted to other families. As expected, she missed them something fierce. So, this dog’s owner, Jennifer Lewis, came up with a brilliant idea. She’d get a puppy.

Welcome home Trixie

Jennifer chose the most adorable puppy. She named this pup Trixie. Although Frannie was only six months older at the time, there was quite a difference in size between the two. Rather than feeling jealous, Frannie immediately took to her new little sister.

Bonded from day one

Within minutes of meeting, Frannie and Trixie had developed a strong bond. Interestingly, it was the puppy who wanted to snuggle first, which Frannie didn’t mind at all. The closer they could get physically the happier they were.

Growing up

Since they were so close in age, these two dogs loved being in each other’s company. They played together, ate together, and napped together. Seldom were the two apart.

Reaching adulthood

Today, Jennifer has had the two dogs for three years. Just as on their first day of meeting, snuggling remains their favorite pastime. But as Trixie grew older, she also became larger than Fannie. That made for some funny situations.

Can’t get close enough

In Trixie’s mind, she’s still a tiny puppy. After Jennifer first adopted her, she would crawl onto Frannie’s back and sleep. And even though she’s now big, that’s still her number one place to nap. Poor Frannie becomes squished beneath her sister.

Incredibly patient

Although Frannie bears a lot of weight when Trixie sleeps on her, she tolerates it well. At least for a while. When Trixie’s weight becomes too much, Frannie will simply move to get her off her back. But even then, she’s super gentle.

It all makes sense

Do you remember how we said that Frannie had a difficult time once her sisters were adopted? As Jennifer explained, “I think Frannie just likes the contact and doesn’t notice how big Trixie is.” In this case, Trixie became somewhat of a surrogate. So, Frannie isn’t going to complain.

Two peas in a pod

Like a lot of dogs, naptime is awesome. During the day, the two sleep together on the couch. But at nighttime, they both cuddle up in Jennifer’s bed. After all, they’re members of the family. But no matter where they nap, Trixie likes being on top of Frannie.

Unique personalities

You’d think being the same breed and raised by the same person, these two pups would have similar personalities. But that’s not the case. Jennifer stated that Frannie is a true lap dog. She loves being wherever humans are. In comparison, Trixie is outgoing and playful. But at the same time, she tends to be more of a worrywart than Frannie.

The one thing that’s for sure is that both Frannie and Trixie have an amazing life. Not only do they have each other but also Jennifer who spoils them rotten. Hopefully, these two will be around for a long time so they can continue to snuggle together.
