What do crows represent?

These medium-sized black birds are often pictured as bad birds that bring misfortune to whoever they come across.

However, crows can mean both good and bad things like death, danger, and sickness, but also new beginnings, thinking about yourself, being smart, and staying loyal. It all depends on what people believe in different cultures.

Crows are talked about a lot in stories, books, and movies. Many determined people like to get crow tattoos because they think it shows change and faithfulness, but also sadness and the end of life.

In the end, what crows mean to you depends on when you see them and what you think about them.

Surprisingly, this little boy finds a friend from a crow.

One day, while Otto’s mother, Lærke Lunamy’s boyfriend was out working, he met a little crow. This crow seemed very thin and weak, when the day was about to end, the crow was still there.

They wanted to help the poor bird, so they tried to find someone, like a wildlife rehabilitator who could take care of it, but there was nobody available to take on the responsibility.

So, Luna’s boyfriend decided to bring the crow home and take care of him. They eventually named him Russell, they fed him and looked after him until he got better and could fly again.

But even after he got better, Russell didn’t leave.

The healed crow decided to stay nearby while keeping an eye on the family who saved him.

Russell and Luna’s boyfriend became good friends and spent a lot of time together. Russell wasn’t afraid of my boyfriend at all. He would only let my boyfriend pet him. Whenever I tried, Russell would fly away.

Russell liked being around us. Sometimes, he would even come inside and sit with us while we watched TV. It was like he was part of our family.

The start of a beautiful friendship

Over the summer, Russell and baby Otto’s friendship grew strong. They had a special connection because Otto wasn’t scared of Russell at all. Russell will only let Otto pet him; if anyone else tried (like Luna), he’d fly away.

Sometimes, if they leave the window open, Russell would fly in and sit on the couch with Otto to watch TV. It seemed like he just liked being around little Otto.

Otto and Russell loved to play together for hours. Whenever Otto was outside, Russell would stick close to him. Even though Otto and Russell were good friends, they were always watched when they played together.

Before they got Russell, they didn’t realize crows could be so loving.

Now, Russell feels like a part of the family. He’s there every day and whenever they take their kid to daycare, Russell even joins them while perching on top of the car.

Russell is especially curious about the baby. He’s particularly fond of pacifiers. Sometimes, he’ll sit very still, then will suddenly swoop in and snatch one away.

Russell also has a funny relationship with the dogs and cats since he enjoys teasing them.

Living with Russell brings excitement to Otto and his entire family’s lives. He lets them connect with nature in a special way that most people don’t experience.
