Waking up hearing bad news is one of the worst things in the world. For instance, being told you are adopted. This particular rabbit is one of the animals who was told this terrible news by his fur parent.
This rabbit on the internet will definitely make your day.
Meet Pipkin, a rabbit that is famous on the internet for his eating ASMR and daily adventure vlogs.
Their channel has over 700 subscribers and more than 160 million accumulated views on their videos. Pipkin is a free roam rabbit, which means he has free access to most parts in the house and he could just do whatever he wants in comfort whether his owners are present or not. Aside from videos of Pipkin’s constant nibbling, his owners also love pranking him and showing it on the internet.
This owner wakes his rabbit with a sad prank.
One day, his owner has a plan to prank Pipkin – telling Pipkin that he was adopted. His owner decided to break the terrible news to Pipkin while he was sleeping. The owner had Pipkin wrapped up in his arms while the rabbit was peacefully napping.
Fun fact about rabbits, some sleep with their eyes open and they dream most of the time. This is the same with Pipkin, which is why you could see him constantly moving about. This time, Pipkin was dreaming about eating something.
Breaking the news to this sleeping rabbit.
Pipkin was sleep-nibbling while being petted by his owner; you could not almost tell whether Pipkin was sleeping or not.
The owner quietly called out to the dozing Pipkin to get his attention. A few seconds after, the owner broke the terrible news to him by saying, “Guess what, you’re adopted.” Upon hearing the news, Pipkin woke up with an overly surprised face. You could even hear him sniffle and sneeze a few moments after his face was painted with shock.
Pipkin’s owner recorded their whole conversation on camera and posted it on YouTube along with Pipkin’s reaction to it. You could see how many people have become interested in this video as it fished over 27 million views after only a year of its upload.
Why do you have to tell me, hooman?
Technically, our pets are adopted, but as acting fur parents, we do not have to tell them that.
Because animals cannot fully understand our words, owners frequently joke around with their pets by telling them they are adopted; we do that because we want to see their reactions about it. In some instances, though, some pets may understand that what you just told them was bad news; probably because of the tone of your voice or something else entirely. However, to most pets, those words are just plain gibberish.
Not to worry, Pipkin’s owners still love him. Besides, all of Pipkin’s reactions were purely coincidental.
The shocked face was just Pipkin yawning as he was interrupted in his beauty sleep.
