The beach is many people’s favorite vacation getaway! The combination of the sun, sand, and relaxation creates an ideal respite from the craziness of normality. The funny part? Animals love the beach too! Many pets love to spend some quality time running around the shore and having a blast.
This puppy was having a great day at the beach!
For kids, one of the best things about the beach is the sand. For some odd reason, they don’t mind the little grains getting absolutely everywhere. Kids love to get into the sand and have a blast. One of the best things about sand? Sandcastles!
Sandcastles are the epitome of a day in the sand for a child.
What is better than building an incredible sandcastle, complete with parapets, seashells, and a smattering of beach toys? Knocking it over! After sandcastles are built, there comes a time to knock the entire thing down. Funny enough, this “rule” doesn’t seem to be known by this little pup!
Angus is a golden retriever who is enjoying his beach day.
Puppies and beaches mix well. The energy of a puppy is only matched by children and the ocean, both of which are present at the beach. Angus decided that he wanted to take on a special construction project, however.
With the utmost intensity, Angus begins the construction of his very own doggy sandcastle.
Who is to define what abstract art is? As Angus begins to work further on his sandcastle masterpiece, it appears to just be a “hole” in the ground. While we may never know what exactly Angus had on his mind, let’s assume it was just an abstract sandcastle.
As work continues, a playground bully shows itself to the determined pup.
Knocking down a sandcastle is a right reserved only for the builder. Anyone else who decides to knock over another child (or pups) sandcastle is either an older sibling or a bully.
The bully in question? The ocean itself.
As Angus gets further down into his abstract sandcastle’s construction (digging a hole), he realizes that something is coming to destroy it. Looking up, the waves of the ocean are inching closer and closer to his sandy pit. He frantically begins digging in an attempt to thwart the impending doom.
The merciless ocean continues to creep closer to destruction.
As determined as a puppy can be, Angus does his best to keep his hole free of water. Inevitably, a wave washed over the edge, just splashing some water in it!
Laying in the hole, Angus tries a last-ditch effort at keeping out the water.
Hoping that laying in the water will stop the ocean from intruding into his freshly dug hole, the determined pup faces off with the sea for a “last battle.”
Despite his best attempts, the water still continues on.
No matter how hard Angus tries, the ocean still ended up pouring into the hole he built. As Angus retreats, he runs to his owner for comfort. After witnessing the destruction of his creation, he was probably heartbroken!
Even after Angus’ sandcastle was destroyed, we can still see that he is as happy as a puppy should be.
Thankfully, it is hard to put a damper on a puppy’s enthusiasm. Angus is still incredibly happy and bright. Worst case scenario, he digs another hole!
