Massive Newfoundland is convinced that he’s a lapdog
Boss weighed 140 pounds at just 10 months old, so he was never really a lap dog. But that's not stopping him from trying!

Our first thought when we saw the photo below was that this woman seemed awfully calm about that approaching black bear.

But it turns out that’s just Boss, Bee Fisher’s dog. He’s a Newfoundland — and quite the celebrity.

Here he is in all his glory:

Like most enormous dogs, Boss is convinced he is a lap dog.

According to Fisher’s blog, he weighed about 140 pounds at just 10 months old, so it’s likely been hard to keep up that particular charade.

Nevertheless, Boss has yet to get the hint.

When the mom of three shared the video of her sweet pup on YouTube, it was picked up by multiple outlets and viewed tens of millions of times.

She captioned the original video, in part:

“This Newfoundland dog named Boss is such a loving dog! He loves to give lots of hugs and kisses to his family but I don’t think he realizes how big he actually is.”

According to Fisher, he “wouldn’t hurt a feather.”

But Boss isn’t even the only Newfoundland in the house!

He has a brother named Ralphie — and between the dog hair and drool, we don’t know how the Fisher family manages these three-year-old boys — especially since they also have three young sons!

If you are wondering how they manage to wrangle all of these males, you’ll be shocked to know that they once did it while roaming around the country, attempting to visit all 50 states in a 34ft RV!

Say what?!

They returned from their adventure last year and now live in California, but all seven of them really did cram themselves into a tiny camper for a while.

And just in case you thought the photos above didn’t give you a good idea of how big these dogs are, check this out:

The rest of the boys running around are Lenox, who is 7, Cruz, who is 5, and 3-year-old Tegan.

Husband and dad Josh rounds out the crew that traveled the country together.

But now that the Fisher’s have returned home they’ve added another female to the family!

It’s hard to say whether or not she fits right in, but unlike Boss and Ralphie, she IS a lap dog.

Meet Gidget:

Clearly, this is a couple that doesn’t mind having their hands full. You have to have a lot of love to give and faith in one another to care for such a large family!

Of course, at 11 pounds, Gidget is pretty much in charge.
