“She’s defying all the odds,” Marie says. “She’s proven that she wants to be here. She has an amazing will and determination. Through all this, she really shouldn’t be here.”
Sasha is definitely showing progress but still isn’t big enough to undergo the surgery to relieve the fluid in her skull or her cleft palate.
Keeping Sasha healthy is no easy task. She gets fed every three to four hours a day and every five hours at night. So, that’s the most consecutive sleep Marie will end up getting.
To stay warm she wears sweaters and dresses and hangs out with Marie’s cats.
Sasha is very loved in her foster home and she loves mamma Marie.
“She was dealt some bad cards in life, Boy, is she loved. I scoop her up and hold her,” Marie said. “When I hold her and I’m kissing her, if I hold her near my face, she licks my nose.”
It’s unclear what Sasha’s future holds, but everyone is hoping for the best for this little fighter.
“Whatever the future holds for her, she sure is a miracle pup,” Marie said on Facebook. “Raising her from one day old to over six weeks of age without any major medical complications is a testament to her fight and will to live.”
