Aye aye Captain!
It’s just like taking a kid to a toy store or a grown man to a car shop. Captain is a Pug. A very excitable one at that. Which is great, because that means he is a simple dog who is easily pleased. Then again they all are.
His human dad took him for a drive. Captain had no idea where they were going. As far as the dog was concerned, he was just happy to be with his human wherever they went.
It got better.
Dad pulls in to PetSmart‘s parking lot. Now Captain, being smaller in stature, couldn’t see a thing over the car’s dashboard. So dad had to tell him what was going on.
“Hey, buddy. We’re at PetSmart. We’re at PetSmart!”
As soon as the little dog heard the name, he lets out a hoarse shriek of excitement.
Captain loves PetSmart!
And he shows it by letting out lots and lots of happy woofs! Well more like wheezing barks. But hey, he is a pug. Captain tries to sit still in his little doggy seat but his energy is building for every few meters the car moved.
Are we there yet?
After barking his heart out, Captain looks at his dad and gives him a smile. Such a sweet boy!
The car finally comes to a stop.
“You ready to go?”
Dad asks.
More energetic barking. For such a small creature, he’s got tons of it! Dad has to tell him to calm down. But when asked if he wanted to play with his friends, Captain tries to bolt from his seat, barking in excitement over and over again.
A viewer says,
“I could honestly hear him say “I’m READY I’M READY!”
It does sound that way if you listen closely.
Once again, dad has to tell Captain to calm down many times. He even asks for a high five. But Captain cannot contain himself. Dad shushes him up, telling his dog to sit still. And finally the leash!
Look at Captain tug on that leash!
This little dog’s got muscles. They walk in and you can hear Captain’s breathing. He’s so happy he goes over to each aisle, sniffing everything he sees with that short snout. Short legs don’t matter! Walk, dad!
“He can’t be any more plain; he’s excited to see his friends.Good boy.He’s the happiest boy now.”
Says a viewer.
And why not drop by the Pets Hotel? Maybe grab a drink or two down at the Paw Pub.
You can hear other customers saying hi to Captain. So he does have friends! Such a sociable little guy. His doggy butt sways side to side as he trots along, a clear sign that he is a happy boy who got his way with the human.
All in all, a perfect day out for Captain. He got to go on a car trip with his dad, went to his most favorite place in the world, and then got to meet and play with his friends. He must have spent the whole day in there!
Who says small dogs can’t muscle their way around? Captain just showed the world a thing or two that day!
