Having a pet in your home is like having a kid. You always tend to their needs and buy food intended for them.

They even sleep beside you if you permit them.

Dogs and cats are common and sometimes we see birds, reptiles, or arachnids, but what about a pig?

Oh yeah, there is a special breed of pigs that you can definitely pet.

We call them Pot Belly Pigs.

Here’s a story about a spoiled pot-bellied pig who’s quite dramatic when it’s time for grooming.

Her name is Mabel.

She’s 160 pounds and if she wants to, she can do some damage.

Owners of these kinds of pets have special skills so they will know about boundaries and respect.

Mabel’s personal hygiene includes a visit to a pet grooming shop.

To persuade her to go, she is offered pet food or pellets.

She is then tied up so she won’t go anywhere.

Then the groomers do their job as fast as they can, as Mabel’s personality can sometimes get aggressive.

Then, the drama ensues.

Despite the small tantrums she throws at them, she could not help but enjoy a good belly rub.

Being a spoiled house pig, the visit to the grooming shop will be a regular part of her weekly schedule.

She’s well-loved by her owners, which she does like as she feels like a princess.

Even princesses need a good cleaning.

Food is key.

Even when Mabel’s upset or uncooperative, food will always comfort and calm her in a way that no one else can, except for the belly rub.

For safety, Mabel’s head may or may not be bathed as she may have the tendency to bite.

She is then rinsed with cold water, which calmed her down further.

She is getting comfortable with baths.

Then, she gets a good towel dry to remove the excess water from her skin.

Pigs such as Mabel hardly shed their coats, only about once every year during spring.

They will almost go completely bald during summer.

Then their hair grows back again.

All throughout the grooming process, Mabel is always being fed so she is preoccupied.

She got a hoof conditioner for the final touch.

The conditioner provides a healthy, glossy shine while keeping the hooves safe from bacteria and promoting healthy hoof growth.

Since her skin is dry, a few sprays of some leave-in conditioner would help.

After all that, Mabel appears to have taken a liking to the grooming shop and doesn’t want to leave.

Her tantrums and squeals are powerful.

The neighbors thought the groomers were slaughtering a pig.

But kidding aside, they managed to put Mabel into the owner’s car with two people lifting her up forcefully.

She’s overly dramatic as always.

Pigs such as Mabel are great pets. But do keep in mind that they are very loud most of the time and get a bit destructive.

Unlike dogs and cats, pigs need to have extra care and owners need to also learn some skills to help tame these animals.
