The Gang-seo police station of Busan, South Korea, seems like every other police station – except that a few of their ‘officers’ are a bit small and fluffy.

You won’t believe Busan police’s newest additions to the force.

Busan, as South Korea’s second biggest city, boasts a staggering population of around 3.4 million people. In such a big city, it’s not uncommon for officers of Pusan to come across stray or abandoned animals, particularly cats.

Sadly, one day the Busan police noticed that a few young kittens had been struck and killed by a car. As police buried the kittens, they noticed a female cat watching from the distance, likely the kittens’ mother.

Three months later, this cat showed up again and, to the station’s surprise, was pregnant a second time.

The station named this mystery cat “Molang”, which means “do not know” in Korean since no one knows where she came from or who she originally belonged to. Determined to help her, the Busan police made sure to watch over Molang during her pregnancy and even helped her give birth, cutting the umbilical cord of her kittens.

Four healthy kittens were born, safe and happy thanks to the Gang-seo police!

Now Molang and her four kittens are unofficial members of the Gang-seo Police Station, cared for by their fellow officers around the clock.

They even get to wear these insanely adorable, custom-made police uniforms.
