Human kids aren’t the only ones that go running when they hear the ice cream truck coming down the street. Fur babies are just as excited to get a sweet treat!
It is well-known that dogs love food. Usually, we train our pups to not sit by the table and beg while we are eating because it’s so hard to resist those puppy dog eyes!
What many people might not know is dogs love ice cream!
It’s a nice cool treat that they don’t often get to have. Many grocery and pet stores actually carry doggie ice cream in their frozen section. These are usually peanut butter or cheese flavored, which most dogs go crazy for.
But nothing beats getting an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck, especially on a hot summer day!
In this video, one very good boy waits patiently for his turn to order. He runs up to the truck and looks back for his owner, who has the money!
One commenter writes, “The dog literally was like MOM…MOM COME ON…. MOM MONEY!!
He sits in the grass with his tail wagging so much that his butt is wiggling.
When finally, it’s his turn! He gets a big vanilla soft-served on a cone, something it would talk most people at least five minutes to eat.
But the ice cream is gone in a matter of seconds!
Clearly, he doesn’t get brain freeze! Another commenter says:
“I’ve not ever seen a pittie get brain-freeze, but if I were to eat a cone this quickly, I would be writhing on the ground.”
Unfortunately, pitbulls get a bad reputation, but this dog shows that they are as friendly as a golden retriever with proper training.
Like kids, dogs need to learn what is right from wrong. Someone with patience and dedication can do wonders for a dog!
Another dog breed that gets a bad reputation is huskies.
These are amazing dogs but need a lot of exercise and stimulation. Without proper exercise and training, they can be destructive and not good with other people.
In another video, a husky named Riley jumps up and gets fed ice cream by the ice cream man. Unlike the pitbull, Riley savors his treat, enjoying it one lick at a time!
You can see how excited he is as he eats, loving every second of his special treat. You might be wondering, is ice cream okay for dogs to eat? Although every dog is different, most dogs are okay with occasionally eating a small amount of ice cream. Of course, don’t let them have chocolate!
You might be surprised, but many ice cream shops offer doggie ice cream, which is usually smaller, vanilla and can include some peanut butter or cheerios if they have it!
If you are still unsure but want to give your pup a special frozen treat, stick to dog ice cream that comes prepackaged. And you can always check with your vet just to be sure!
