Birds are amazing pets and a lot of people do not realize it. They could give you the same kind of companionship you get from cats or dogs and the more flexible ME time that you deserve. Furthermore, they are intelligent and always fun to be with. Take, for example, these fun parakeets who just love to make conversation with each other.
Take a look at these two adorable parakeet brothers.
The green parakeet’s name is Fabio while the blue one is named Gabriel. Although they are born a year apart, these two Indian ring-neck parakeet brothers have developed an inseparable bond as they stay at their home with their owner, Ashley, and three other birds named Abaddon, Mojo, and Jojo.
According to Ashley, Fabio and Gabriel are the most popular pair on the internet, and they already have fans waiting to see more of their silly adventures on YouTube.
Parakeets and Parrots.
Before we get to the story, let’s first discuss parakeets and parrots. Both are often confused with each other since these birds could mimic sounds skillfully. However, these birds should not be considered two separate species as one of them is only a sub-species of the other. Parrots have over 300 existing species, and apparently, parakeets are one of them. This specific species is described as medium-sized parrots with long tail feathers.
They love talking and smooching each other all day long.
One video of Fabio and Gabriel that caught everyone’s attention was an old clip from 2016. They were standing on top of their cage, roaming around and enjoying their home’s scenery. Ashley just heard the two of them talking to each other and decided to grab her camera to capture the moment.
When one of the birds saw Ashley with her camera, Fabio immediately asked, “What are you doing?” Meanwhile, Gabriel was behind him, trying to sneak a peck on his brother’s head.
Aside from that, they would both exchange smooches to each other and say, “I love you.” Fabio may be the more affectionate bird between the two of them but Gabriel is not shy to show his love for his brother.
These birds are intelligent enough to understand what they say.
Birds similar to parrots and parakeets are skilled in picking up sounds in the environment and imitating it. Although, that does not mean that they do not understand what they are actually imitating.
Just like Fabio and Gabriel, every time that they do a smooch sound, they would always act like kissing someone may it be on the head or their beaks. Moreover, they already know that saying “I love you” is a way of sharing affection towards someone or something they love. Thus, we really cannot say that they are merely copying sounds, these birds could learn to comprehend too!

The brothers have their own distinct personalities, which makes them always fun to watch. Gabriel is cool yet tries to hide his feelings toward his brother while Fabio is the affectionate one that would always give his brother kisses and kind words any chance he gets.
