It’s a small world after all.
On a lovely English countryside, a little pony named Oscar gets to spend time with his English family. Oscar is a Shetland Pony. A miniature four legged stuffed toy that lives and breathes.
The place is very much something out of classic literature. The home, the fence, the grass are so refreshing to the eyes. And as the camera moves in, a child climbs over the fence just to be with Oscar the pony.
Look at those babies!
The little girl strokes the pony affectionately while her mom watches on. It’s like they were both made for each other. One is a scaled down horse, the other a scaled down human. Oscar is loving the attention he’s getting!
“Mom is over there having a tea.”
Says the lady behind the camera. With a lovely accent too.
He’s a looker!
Oscar’s mainly black coat is splattered with a dash of white by his hooves and rear. The Shetland pony stands strong on his legs defying his lack of height. The pony stays beside the little girl letting her hold him whenever she wants to.
Dad arrives with a much smaller girl, the toddler making her way to Oscar with such a sweet smile on her face. Oscar starts walking towards the grass with the toddler in tow, both short legged and adorable beings just enjoying each other’s company.
Pint sized past.
Oscar’s bloodline originated in the Shetland Isles, north east of mainland Scotland. There have been small horses since the bronze age. These horses were used to pull carts that carried coal and other items. These ponies were also utilized for plowing farmlands.
During the industrial revolution, these ponies found their way in mainland Britain working to help haul coal for the rest of their lives. These little horses are pretty tough and strong. They are used to the harsh condition of the Shetland Isles and all those years of hard labor have been ingrained in their genes.

Nowadays, these ponies are ridden by children. They’re also big attractions at horse shows and you can probably guess why. And they’re great for kids who want to learn how to ride. Aren’t they super cute?
A kiss for Oscar!
The little lady toddles around with her pony fried, stroking Oscar’s back before giving the pony a little kiss. Big sister is off to the side practicing her cartwheels on the soft English grass.
Oscar wants more affection! The toddler walks to the pony’s side, spreading her short arms for a short embrace as she rests her head on the little horse’s back. And Oscar returns the hug!
More hugs, please!
Big sister ends her flipping practice and makes her way towards Oscar. It’s her turn to give the little guy hugs! Oscar is loving the attention so much that he decides to trot off merrily with the kids behind him. Play time!
The adorable pony explores the grass with his little legs carrying his diminutive frame while he follows mom’s voice. Oscar loves his family so much and it shows. There’s this unspoken bond between them especially with the sisters.
