Beasley was in trouble before he was rescued.
Due to several medical problems, Beasley has been included in the euthanasia list in the shelter where he stayed. Unfortunately, these decisions need to be made, especially when a dog has been staying at the shelter for too long.
There are a lot of abandoned dogs that need shelter space and have better chances of being adopted.
There are also stray animals who have medical problems that need a lot of care that the shelter can’t provide.
Thank goodness Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue came right on time!
They took Beasley and placed him with a foster, who helped with Beasley’s healing process. This healing process needed to happen with a foster or individual rescuer because they are able to focus on him.
Once he was fully healed, they put him up for adoption.
Lo and behold, someone responded right away!
Corey wanted to take Beasley home right away but her partner didn’t want the same. They already had a dog, Roman, and their hands were already full because of him. Corey couldn’t and wouldn’t say no, though.
When Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue called to get their answer, Corey was honest and said that she still needed to convince her partner.
One way or another, this dog was going home to them. A few days later, Corey said yes.
Beasley was going home with them.
When they met Beasley for the first time, his tail was wagging so hard. He just jumped right in the car and looked at them like he was saying, ‘Let’s go!’
When they got home, he just settled there immediately.
Beasley loved his new home.
Corey calls him her tiny tank because Beasley turned out to be smaller than the pictures.
He only weighed 57 lbs. Big things come in small packages though and he was the most adorable dog.
It wasn’t long before his personality came out.
He loves to snuggle with his favorite toy. When he’s comfortable, his tongue will be sticking out. Plus he wants to hold hands all the time. He loves it when people say hello to him.
Corey said it feels like he makes a mental note of it so he knows which houses to visit during the next walk.
Corey doesn’t know what Beasley’s past life was like. Heck, she doesn’t even know how old he really is at that point.
It doesn’t matter though.
She will make sure that Beasley is always having fun, doesn’t feel left out, and will always feel loved.
“…if anything Beasley has felt in his life, it was likely left out,” Corey shared with Geobeats Animals. “And I just want to make sure he always feels like he’s included.”
By the looks of it, it is safe to say that Beasley definitely feels this way every day.
Corey, Andrew, and Roman have done a great job making Beasley feel included every day.
