Most dog owners have problems getting their dogs to like baths. Sometimes, it turns into a wild goose chase or a game of hide-and-seek, especially when the dogs hear the running water in the tub while you call out their name. However, this is not always the case as there are dogs who learned to love bathing just like these two adorable wiener dogs in the video.
These pups love their baths so much!
It’s not often that we get to see dogs liking their baths, but here are two mini dachshunds with their mom, Alejandra, who are incredibly enthusiastic when it comes to it. Alejandra asked her pups if they were ready for bath time and they were already wagging their tails, waiting for their mom to open the gate for them.
The moment the gate was removed the two pooches immediately bolted, racing up the stairs just to get to the bathroom. Alejandra tried to calm her feisty doxies but it was not enough to stop their onslaught. The dogs did not bother waiting for their mom and immediately went inside the bathroom.
Their happy faces are enough to make your heart flutter.
Both mini doxies were excitedly looking forward to a refreshing swim in their mini-pool, which was the bathtub. One of them jumped instantly into the water and happily paddled his tiny legs on the cool water. However, the other one was left trying to leap his way through to join his partner. Luckily, Alejandra was there to give the adorable pooch a helping hand by gently lifting him up and then sending the pup into the tub. As the two were finally together, they swam in their pool with a joyous look on their faces.
The adorable bath-loving doxies got a large amount of attention on YouTube.
Alejandra decided to share the adorable clip of her doxies on the internet. Amazingly, the 1-minute video of her dogs rushing to the tub garnered 18 million views on YouTube alone.
Many people commented on how they never saw dogs going nuts for a bath like her mini doxies. Even though some shared about their dogs getting used to their baths, they admitted that they are not as excited as these doxies.
It is not impossible to get your dog to like baths.
Alejandra shared in the comments about how she was able to let her two doxies love baths so much. She wrote how she encouraged them by motivating them with yummy treats. As she kept on doing that, she also increased the water level and hoped that they would get used to it.
It was just surprising that a simple motivation was able to make them so happy. Additionally, Alejandra made sure that the room and their bathwater was at a comfortable temperature.
It takes time and dedication to make dogs love splashing in the water.
The time and effort it takes for one to train a dog to be like those doxies may be different for everyone but as long as you don’t give up, your dog will surely be running straight to the tub in no time.
