Rabbits are precious, adorable gentle creatures. Their big round eyes, soft fur and small size make me want to pick them up and cuddle them for as long as the rabbit is comfortable.
I mean, just look at this little guy. Look at him! Isn’t he so cute?
However, as cute as bunnies can be, for some people, they can be a furry little menace – a lovable and cute menace, but a menace nevertheless.
That was the case for one clever owner. According to him, his pet Black Dutch bunny rabbit loves to wake up people who are peacefully snoozing. One day, the owner decided to give his rabbit a taste of his own medicine and capture the shocking moment on video.
Now, when I first saw this video, I was shocked.
The owner titled his YouTube video, “Waking up a sleeping rabbit with an airhorn.” I clicked, thinking there’s no way someone would actually do this. Other viewers may have clicked out of morbid curiosity, but I was definitely the former.
However, as it pleasantly turns out, the owner does not use the air horn in the way we’d expect!
Yes, the owner technically uses the airhorn, but he does not make an obnoxious sound. Instead, he gently pets the rabbit with the airhorn, but the rabbit does not react.
Despite wanting to wake the sleeping bunny, the owner carefully glides the airhorn over the rabbit’s ears, face, and body.
Finally, when he tickles the cute rabbit’s feet, the rabbit awakens!
With over 200,000 views on YouTube, many viewers (including myself) were delightfully surprised at the twist.
The owner’s description to his video is definitely worth a read too:
“This tiny pet black dutch bunny rabbit loves waking up sleeping humans. It’s one of his favorite activities, really. So, for ONCE in his life, we thought we would wake him up. So, here he is taking a nap. We sneak up on him with an air horn, but don’t blow the air horn. We use it to flick his ear, then rub his head. Neither elicits a response – he is dead to the world. We thought for sure we’d wake him up when we touched his tail but, though his tail responded (and came to attention!) he still didn’t move.
His feet are very ticklish, however! Muh ah hahaha! That woke him up immediately! We’ll see if this little prank stops him from waking humans. We doubt it.”
What a great use of the title! He definitely fooled many viewers in a positive way!
