There are certain periods when the tide rises or decreases. Both occurrences could be quite a problem since during high tide it floods low-lying areas while on the other hand, low tides drain all the water in one area. Moreover, during low tide, some sea creatures would get stranded on a waterless puddle and thus be in danger. Luckily, someone was there for a poor baby shark struggling all alone in a shallow pool.

This man was making his way to the sea during low tide and he had seen how gigantic rocks and stray seaweeds were just lying flat on the area. However, he did not expect to come across a little fella that was in urgent danger. He took a closer look at the creature on top of the bed of seaweed and realized that it was a baby shark – specifically, a tiny mud shark – gasping for air.
He already knew what to do and picked the little shark gently with his fingers.
Since mud sharks are also called dogfish, the man started calling him “doggy” as he carried it gently in his hand.
The shark pup did not react that much upon being picked up and maybe it was because it was too exhausted to move. The poor shark was still alive although you could see him almost lifelessly hanging while pressed between the man’s fingers.
They had to do some quick stops for the shark to catch his breath.
The open sea was still meters away and the shark would probably die before they even get there. However, the man was smart enough to give the shark opportunities to take a break and breathe by stopping by a puddle of water.
He could just have left the poor shark in the first puddle but he knew that there was still no guarantee that the little guy could survive on such little water.
After a few seconds of water break, he would pick Doggy up again and transfer him to another puddle, all the while making their way slowly towards the open sea.
They bonded for a short while during their trip back to the ocean.
The man was just casually talking to the little shark pup while getting him back to the ocean. The shark seemed to love the attention and even though Doggy recovered most of his strength, he never resisted being picked back up again.
After the man placed him in a deeper puddle, he still waited for him to bring him much further back to the ocean. Eventually, after a few puddles stop, both of them finally reached the ocean.
Free at last, but Doggy wanted to spend more time with his rescuer.
“Go on, you’ve got all the ocean there,” the man mumbled to the shark pup while letting him go to the water.
However, Doggy still refused to go and stayed near the man’s feet. The man urged the shark pup to go and bent down to pet him one last time before parting ways with Doggy.
