When Gates Wildlife Control responded to a call about foxes making their den around a home, they never expected to find a full family of them living there. However, when they pried up the floorboards on the front porch, it was one baby fox after another.

As wildlife control experts, we imagine that they have seen all sorts of crazy things.

However, the heartwarming videos taken that day show that this situation was completely unique.

The first thing that the technicians noticed were the sounds coming from beneath the porch.

Wildlife technicians never know what to expect, however, the sounds had to be where the nuisance was located. Could it be an angry raccoon, a possum, or perhaps a big snake? In this case, it was none of the above.

Once they removed the first board, they immediately noticed that there was a tiny fox starring back at them.

The man explained that while he had encounters with foxes before, he had never seen one this young before.

It raised an interesting question. Were there more babies around?

“Do you have any other brothers and sisters in there buddy?” the technician asked the fox.

When they peaked underneath the porch, they saw another little cutie who looked like he had just woken up from a nap.

The technicians continued ripping up floorboards one by one, and under almost every new section, they encountered additional baby foxes!

By the time they were done, there were seven foxes in total.

They were running out of arms to hold them all in.

Normally people call the wildlife control experts to get rid of aggressive pests.

However, this call was the complete opposite.

“These are the most adorable animals that I’ve ever removed,” said the technician with a giant smile.

There was just one problem.

The mama fox soon came storming around the house to see what all the commotion was about. She wanted to see if her little babies were okay, but she was afraid to get close while the technicians were nearby.

Luckily, Gates Wildlife Control has been in business for over 35 years. They follow a humane philosophy of business, whereby their top priority is always the well-being of the animals, despite how it may affect their bottom line.

The crew had a brilliant solution.

They placed all of the babies in a heated release box with the lid open and positioned it where the mama fox would be able to see it. Then they walked away.

What happened next was beautiful.

The mama fox quickly moved in, and after making sure the coast was clear, she began rescuing all of her babies from the box.

Since foxes don’t have hands, she had to transport them the only way that she could. One by one, she carefully scooped up each baby in her mouth and carried them off to safety.

She had previously thought that the porch was a pretty good place to establish her den.

However, this time around, she is hopefully going to move a little bit further away from the property.

“It’s exactly how we wanted it to play out,” explained the technician. “We took seven babies out from under the deck, put them in the box. In very short order, literally less than five minutes, she has come back and taken all seven babies to her alternate location.”

“We’re done here, and she has her babies in a safe place, and job complete.”

The youngsters are going to need some more room to stretch their legs pretty soon, and a busy neighborhood is no place for seven foxes. Hopefully, they can find a forest nearby to live in where no one else will ever disturb them again.
