Man Builds Enchanting Village For Mouse He Found In His Garden
From start to finish, I'm amazed how enchanting this is. I never thought I'd be jealous of a mouse's life, lol.

Imagine finding a mouse in your backyard – or worse, how about a whole bunch of them?

There’s a lot of people who wouldn’t exactly be happy about these visitors, and they would also probably find the nearest animal pest control center to get rid of them.

This man from the UK, however, decided to do something else entirely and it’s just absolutely beautiful to look at.

Simon Dell, a wildlife photographer, made sure that this family of mice felt welcome in his home, and he truly went above and beyond.

“Being a keen wildlife photographer, I am often taking photos of birds on the feeders in the garden,” the man said. “Then one day, I looked down to see a very cute little house mouse standing up in the grass.”

He didn’t get a cat, and he certainly didn’t set any traps either.

Instead, he went to his nearest DIY and crafting store to get some tools.

He wanted to build them their own mouse mansion, especially when he saw that they were a small family.

There were two adult mice roaming around in the grass, and they actually brought their adorable tiny baby along.

Being a wildlife photographer, one of the things that Simon wanted to do was to snap pictures of them, but they were quite timid and his camera couldn’t get anywhere near them.

However, with plans to build them a home, Simon hoped that they would stay and that he would actually be able to take some beautiful pictures as well.

Luckily, he got straight to work and was able to build something absolutely beautiful.

These mice probably must’ve thought that they somehow managed to end up in a five-star hotel.

He even built multiple floors and a ladder, giving them plenty of room to live and play.

He definitely didn’t forget the fun stuff too: they live by the water, he always makes sure that there’s enough to eat and there’s even a playground for the little one.

Simon is most definitely a crafty person, and he even managed to construct part of the home with some old produce – now that’s something that these mice definitely wouldn’t mind.

Now that this family of three was officially welcomed into Simon’s backyard with their own home, the photographer figured that he should also give his tenants names.

Mildred, Georgy, and baby Mini are all very happy in their amazing, wooden home.

During certain festive events, Simon even decorates the whole place and gives his three rodent friends an entire feast platter with delicious treats.

It gives him an opportunity to do what he loves: take pictures of animals in their habitat, even if it’s an unusual one he built himself.

Sometimes, he worries about the safety of his new friends.

“Knowing there are cats just over the fence I thought I would give them a little more safety, so collected some logs and made them a log pile home,” he mentioned. “The mice are very trusting and know I mean them no harm. I love nature so am happy to live alongside such cute creatures.”

One thing is for sure: this family of three is definitely properly taken care of.

“I saw the opportunity to take some nice photos,” he said. “At the same time, giving the mice a nice home and a safe place to live. I’ll put a bit of food out each day for them, and on local walks, I’ll pick berries, nuts, blackberries, stuff like that, and put them out.”
