Sometimes, you just wanna show off a bit! Whether you just think you look EXTRA good or you have a new talent that the world deserves to see, strutting your stuff can often be a rewarding moment of your day.
For one horse, the perfect audience is a bunch of cows!
Koning is a Friesian horse who lives in the U.K on one of those picture-perfect farms that you see on tv. The grass is green, the sky is blue, and everything just looks vibrant and beautiful.
Koning is a horse that fits in that environment perfectly.
If you’ve never seen a Friesian, they are majestic, glossy, horses with a smooth elegance to them that you have to see in order to believe. Koning is a proud member of that breed and loves to show it off! If you have it, why not, right?
We see him trotting over in his cute little blanket to see his farm friends.
Once he gets to the fence, we see his audience – a herd of red cows! Koning obviously knows them and walks right up to say hello. After recovering from a moment of fright at the massive animal running up to them, the cows seem pretty comfortable with Koning being around.
Giving a spin, it really does look like Koning is showing off!
Seeing him trot around the beautiful estate is quite the sight. He has probably been inside all day and just wanted a chance to stretch his legs and see his friends. Thankfully, he gets to do both!
After a few trips around the field, the cows get right up to the fence to say hello.
They are clearly a bit nervous, but after they take a few steps back again, they get their courage back. Slowly but surely Koning and his cow friends get more comfortable around one another. As the wind blows through the elegant horse’s mane, you almost feel his desire to say hello to a friend!
Finally, Koning decides he wants to meet the cows up close.
Sidling up right next to the fence, he sticks out his nose. The herd of cows is still extremely timid but they are starting to see that this beast of a horse isn’t interested in hurting them. Suddenly, a brave cow steps forward and dares to say hello to Koning!
The brave cow leans forward and gets super close to the Friesian.
You think that they might kiss and then suddenly, they do! They give a good sniff and then Koning jumps into the air with excitement – Koning just touched noses with a new friend! We usually know that horses are smart, but cows are too!
According to research, cows are generally quite intelligent animals who can remember things for a long time. Animal behaviorists have found that they interact in socially complex ways, developing friendships over time and sometimes holding grudges against other cows who treat them badly. – PETA
