Everyone loves magic—even orangutans.

A good magician knows how to work with any crowd, even if that crowd is a young primate like the one in this video. This guy pulls a magic trick that has this orangutan at the zoo laughing out loud and gained hundreds of millions of views on YouTube.

This monkey really loves this magic trick!

YouTube user Dan Zaleski was at a zoo in Barcelona, Spain when he decided to pull a magic trick on an orangutan and got a hilarious response.

Orangutans are fascinating creatures that have a lot more in common with humans than you might think. Just ask this primate, who got some deep-bellied laughter after seeing a magic trick from behind his enclosure at the zoo.

Why he was carrying around a Styrofoam cup and a piece of a tree is anybody’s guess, but it ended up working well for the orangutan and for Dan’s YouTube channel.

First, he showed the orangutan the cherry-looking object before putting it into a styrofoam cup and shaking it around.

The orangutan follows the object with his eyes, watching every move that Dan makes but he’s on the other side of the glass so it only takes a little out-of-sight trick to fool the primate.

After swooping it down by his leg, you can see him sneakily drop the object out of the cup but from where the orangutan is he can’t see it.

When he brings it back up and shows the orangutan nothing in the cup, the monkey absolutely loses it with laughter.

When the adorable orangutan realizes that there’s nothing in the cup, it takes a second to process but when it doesn’t he throws his head back in laughter and he and Dan begin cracking up together.

The orangutan doesn’t stop at laughing—he actually throws his whole body onto the floor and begins literally rolling around with laughter.

After laying on the ground laughing hysterically for a good 10-15 seconds he comes back up with a head full of hay.

While the orangutan rolls on the ground in laughter, Dan slips the object back into the cup to complete the magic trick.

It wouldn’t be a magic trick without a good finish, so that’s exactly what Dan does.

Unfortunately, the video stops before we get to see the orangutan’s second reaction, but we’re sure it was just as hilarious.

Even though chimpanzees have been linked up to 96 percent with our human DNA, many scientists believe it’s actually orangutans were closer to when judged by the similar physical traits we have with them.

They may not be wrong, and this isn’t the only time orangutans have gone viral for acting like humans.

Another video of an orangutan watching a YouTube video just like a human went viral back in 2015.

It’s easy to see why some scientists believe our actions and physical traits are more like orangutans when you watch videos like this, just watch this adorable orangutan view a YouTube video just like a human!

Unfortunately, this doesn’t stop companies from the destruction of their habitats, and orangutans are being driven toward extinction but you can help. Click the link to find out how.
