All dogs are adorable and have unique personalities and physical characteristics, but very rarely are they quite as unique as Picasso.
Abandoned by a backyard breeder because of his facial deformity, Picasso and his brother Pablo, two corgi-pitbull mixes, were up for euthanasia when they was miraculously rescued by a dog adoption service that saves dogs on what people in the animal welfare community call ‘kill lists.’
The breeder dumped them at the shelter after they had difficulty selling the pair due to Picasso’s lopsided face.
When Luvable Dog Rescue first saw Picasso, they knew they had to rescue him. When they learned he had a brother, they could not bear to leave him behind to be euthanised, so they rescued both.
The pair love each other so much, and when Picasso had to be taken to the vet to have a look at his jaw, Pablo attempted a valiant escape to follow him. They hate being separated.
They had a rough start in life, but they now have a chance for a new beginning. Especially since the internet has absolutely fallen in love with Picasso and his smile.
Picasso and Pablo are up for adoption in Eugene, Oregon as a ‘bonded pair’, meaning they have to be adopted together by somebody local. While they are waiting to find their forever home, Picasso is being evaluated by vets on how best to approach surgery. He needs dental work to remove some of his lower teeth because they are digging into his jaw.
The adoption can be finalized once Picasso has recovered. Attention residents of Eugene, Oregon! Give these adorable pooches a home.
