The leopard was trapped with no way to escape. Until a brave veterinarian went down inside the well to save her.

One of the forestry officials, a veterinarian named Dr. Bijoy Gogoi, created a rope harness they could use to haul up the leopard. He volunteered to go down and put the harness on the leopard. The forestry officials shot the distressed leopard with a tranquilizer to ensure that Dr. Gogoi would be safe.

Once the leopard was peacefully sleeping, Dr. Gogoi carefully went down the ladder in the well.

At the bottom of the well, Dr. Gogoi put the harness on the leopard. Once it was on securely, the locals and officials began pulling up the leopard. They worked slowly and methodically, and soon, the leopard was back on solid ground.

Thankfully, the leopard was uninjured. The forestry officials brought her over to the nearby Assam State Zoo to get her checked out, and she should hopefully be released back to the wild soon.

One bystander captured video of the amazing leopard rescue. The video showed how everyone worked together to make sure the leopard was safe.
