There are few cuter things on this planet than newborn kittens. They are so small and adorable, practically begging for snuggles. Across the world, though, some people leave them out and abandoned. There are stray kittens and cats pretty much everywhere on the planet. One lady makes it her personal mission to take care of them.

Known as the Kitten Lady, Hannah Shaw has devoted her life to rescuing abandoned kittens.

Hannah has a YouTube channel that details her adventures while rescuing kittens. She has written books and is an educator who loves to help people learn how to take care of kittens.

Hannah got a call that there were three kittens found by a family.

The video starts with a phone call from a family that found three kittens all by themselves. Showing up to their house, Hannah discovers that this family probably saved the kitten’s life. With no mama cat around and nothing to eat, the three cats wouldn’t have lasted long. Taking the cats from the family, Hannah got to work with what she does best.

Getting a spot ready for them was her next step.

Bringing the tiny things home, she cleaned a container and put the two-day-old kittens in it. She then started to take their weight so she could keep up with their growth and development. When she lifts them up, you can even see that they still have an umbilical cord attached!

The next step is feeding!

Getting a little feeding syringe, Hanna teaches all her viewers how to feed the kittens. She warns that these kittens are so small they don’t have a gag reflex. You need to make sure you feed them extremely slowly to make sure they are feeding safely.

After their feeding, she shows how to help them go to the bathroom.

Unknown to most, kittens need help going to the bathroom! They can’t go by themselves and usually need a little help from mom. In situations where mom isn’t around, like this one, a human and a tissue work just fine! To help them pee, simply brush a tissue across their “areas” to simulate their mom licking them. Soon, you will see them go to the bathroom!

Once they have all been fed and go to the bathroom, Hannah places them back on their heating pad.

Hannah makes it a point to explain just how vulnerable these little cats are. At only two-days-old, they can’t really do anything on their own. They can’t use the bathroom by themselves and they can’t regulate their own body temperature. Everything is done and taken care of by their mother! After their feeding and potty break, they go back to the heating pad for a big nap.

To conclude the video, Hannah names each of the kittens!
