Curiosity almost ended the cat in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam.
For some reason, this poor kitten got her head stuck in a log. Knowing how cats operate, she was probably chasing and playing with a flying insect or what not, before trying to squeeze her way through the log.
Now they may have nine lives but what’s the point of wasting one over some trivial pursuit?
Good thing then that this couple was there to rescue her. Little kitty is breathing heavily, wondering how on earth is she getting out of this one. The man taps her with his finger to make sure she’s alive before he goes into action.
He uses a big knife, almost like a bolo of sorts, to slowly hack away at the log to create an opening big enough to get the stuck kitten.
It is a nerve wracking moment watching a man use a big knife that’s one mistake away from hitting the cat. But in a situation like this, you make do with what you have.
He’s got good knife skills that’s for sure.

The kitten could care less about the choice of gear so long as she’s freed.
One slip, one miscalculation with that knife and… But he was very delicate and precise as he slowly chopped bits and pieces off the log.
Can you imagine how terrified this kitten must have been? This is why youngsters need constant supervision. Where were her parents anyway? It could have been cat-astrophic!
We all know how soft kitties are.
It’s almost like he’s operating on that log, making small incisions here and there. The woman tries to free the kitten but it was still stuck so the man had to make a few more cuts, this time getting closer to the kitten’s body.
That small hole lets you see the kittens jaw. She can breathe!
Bits and chunks of wood fall off the log as he uses the lightest strokes possible to shave off wood without hurting the small cat.
He’s doing his best to keep all nine lives intact here.
Finally, he cuts a big piece, freeing the kitten’s arm. She moves her free paw in relief. The man continues his precision hacking, opening up the hole so that they can wriggle her free from the log.
The kitten is finally freed!
She shakes off her ordeal in the cutest way possible before slowly walking away. No more logs for you, little one! Want to bet the couple gave her lots of food after this rescue?
