Those who work with K9 officers take their jobs seriously.

They deal with some of the worst criminals around, and if they don’t take their jobs seriously, they could get hurt or killed. Every officer trusts their canine partner. When the dog finds drugs or other objects they have been trained to find, the officer searches the suspect until they are found. An officer and their dog quickly form close bonds and will do anything to protect each other.

Officer Levi Knach and K9 officer Kenobi make a great team. They fight crime every day and are fearless in the field. When it came time for them to take some photos, however, Kenobi went from ferocious to adorable.

Kenobi is usually well-behaved.

Dogs go through a lot of obedience training before they can even be considered for the job of a police dog. So why was Kenobi being so difficult for his photos? It turns out, he just really loves his human partner.

When the two aren’t working together, Kenobi turns into a regular pup. He doesn’t want to be serious if he doesn’t have to be. He just wants to be hugged and petted, and give his owner lots of kisses. There’s nothing wrong with that, right?

Kenobi is a Natural Resources dog, and he has been trained to locate Ginseng, venison, and many other things.

He can find poachers and help track down thieves. The photographer was happy to snap these adorable photos of Kenobi being sweet, but the department warns:

“Make no mistake — he is a trained working officer and can track people and locate a variety of objects ranging from venison to ginseng.”

Kenobi works with Natural Resources officers in Indiana. They patrol parks and other natural areas. It is their job to prevent people from disturbing the wildlife and plants in these areas. While this may not seem like a dangerous job, it can be.

A lot of poachers try to kill deer and other animals out of season.

There are also a lot of people who try to collect ginseng and other valuable plants when they shouldn’t. These plants and animals have to be protected, or else the entire ecosystem could suffer.

That means they have to call in some serious characters, like Kenobi. He can sniff out a hunter or a dead animal and help track down people who are breaking the law or up to no good in the Indiana forests. Without them, Indiana wouldn’t be the same.

Officers and their K9s are often taken for granted and even misunderstood. But as you can see, Kenobi isn’t really that much different from any other dog. He just happens to have an important job to do. That doesn’t mean he can’t be silly sometimes.

Although the photographer loved taking photos of Kenobi and his officer being friendly, he also had to get at least one good shot of them being serious.

After all, they wanted to look intimidating, not cute. Kenobi finally settled down and posed for a picture. It looks like he can be serious about his job. Kenobi is just an example of how an animal or person can appear tough and serious on the outside but really be kind and caring on the inside. He is the perfect reflection of police and park officers.

Sometimes, officers are portrayed as cold and emotionless, when in reality they are people, too. Just because they have to be serious to do their jobs, doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of showing love. Kenobi clearly gives a lot of love to his officer, and it’s clear that he gets a lot of love in return.
