Nature is truly interesting. Even though we know a lot about it, we still find ourselves in awe when we hear or see stories about it and its creatures.

Hummingbirds are naturally territorial.

In fact, because of their strong territorial behavior, some humans think that they’re anti-social. They tend to live very solitary lives.

These birds usually divide themselves by territories.

Male hummingbirds act aggressively to keep their territories safe. They choose their dedicated areas based on the abundance of water, nectar, and food. Usually, hummingbirds’ territories are around as big as a quarter acre.

On the other hand, female hummingbirds set their territories based on where they build their nests. They aren’t the only ones that act fiercely to protect their areas as male hummingbirds are protective of them, too.

One rare video of 30 hummingbirds is going viral on the internet.

And it’s not because they’re fighting hard against each other. Actually, it’s the other way around.

Despite their natural tendency to fight each other, the hummingbirds can be seen chilling with each other.

The 30 birds are taking a dip together in a birdbath and it’s not something a lot of people get to see every day. Even though the fountain wasn’t that big, you won’t find a single bird acting aggressively to protect his space.

The birds have their own bathing style.

Even though they’re birds, you can definitely tell that they have their own unique personality. And honestly, it’s what made the video a lot more interesting to watch.

Some are relaxed and quietly enjoying the water. Others were hyperactive. After taking a really quick dip, they’re out of the water again. Some of the birds were playful. You can see them chasing other birds and quickly returning to their spots.

It’s fascinating to watch these birds.

Even though the video was short, it’s still amusing to watch. They’re so at peace with each other that it’s hard to believe that they’re really hummingbirds.

Their moment of peace impressed a lot of people on the internet.

One YouTube viewer commented:

“this has to be a world record or something. i have never seen more than 2 hummingbirds in 1 place”

Another one said:

“I didn’t even know hummingbirds knew what the word “Relax” was.”

There was also this YouTube viewer who had a funny realization. He shared:

“I never realized how much I needed a hummingbird pool party in my life until now”

Even though they are territorial, they were able to share the same space and not fight each other. They were able to enjoy the bath and relax even for just a short time.

However, since they’re hummingbirds, we can’t expect them to remain that way for a long time. Even the person who shot the video knew that the birds are unpredictable.

Along with the video, he posted:

“You’d never know they will be harassing each other in five minutes’ time… “
