We have all seen therapy dogs make nursing home visits to cheer up the residents. But you’ve probably never heard of a visit from a horse…
Yes, a horse. In Brisbane, Australia a horse made the rounds at Buckland House to cheer up the elderly residents.
Manefield District Hospital, which the nursing home is attached to, shared the pictures on their Facebook page.
The horse is seen calmly trotting around in the building, visiting each room to say hi to everyone.
‘Never a dull day in Buckland House…or should that be Buckland Horse?’ the images were captioned in a post on Facebook.
Their followers obviously loved the idea, with the post having 240 likes.
Follower Emily Humphrey-Thorburn commented, “This may be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!!!!”
Claire Nankivell added, “How absolutely awesome!! Bet smiles are still on faces!!”
It looks like the visit went down well. Let’s hope the residents will see them again soon.
