If you grew up in the 80s, then you definitely remember the long flowing hair of the rockstars from that decade. Heck, you might have even had some of their posters on your wall. Turns out, they’re not the only ones who use their long silky hair to attract people, just ask this horse who’s been dubbed the “most handsome in the world.”

This is one beautiful horse!

“Frederik the Great” is a gorgeous Friesian Stallion, who took the internet by storm with his studly head of hair

Friesian horse breeding originated in Friesland, in the Netherlands, and has been producing the beautiful, black stallions ever since. They’re all stunning, but one that has stood out in the past decade is Frederik the Great.

Frederik the Great resides at Pinnacle Friesians, a farm in Arkansas’s Ozark Mountains. Owner, Stacy Nazario, has helped the stunning horse make quite the name for himself.

Not only has he gone viral on social media, but he’s also appeared in magazines and on television shows like The Stephen Colbert Show.

Frederik the Great is a natural-born star, and Nazario knew it from the second she laid eyes on him. That’s why a video of FTG titled “Leave you Breathless” took the internet by storm.

The video starts with FTG doing a mesmerizing gallop around his corral in slow motion, with his long black hair blowing in the wind.

When Nazario mounts Frederik the Great, he proves that he can look just as gorgeous with a rider mounted

The way he gallops with Nazario riding him, almost suggests that he knows exactly how beautiful he is. It’s like when you see a really attractive person, and their walk tells you that they know exactly how pretty they are, that’s what his strut reminds me of.

Who can blame him though? If I was this good-looking, I’d be adding some swagger to my strut as well. The slo-mo shots might have you laughing a bit, I know they did for me.

His long hair obscures his vision at times

Having long hair is a double-edged sword, it looks nice, but can also become quite a nuisance when you wear it down. It doesn’t matter that he’s a horse, Frederik the Great also knows this struggle all too well.

At points in the video, his hair is completely covering his eyes and it’s like he’s running blind. Oh, the price we must pay for being beautiful…

Friesian horses have a history that dates back hundreds of years, and at one point, the alluring horses were almost extinct

In the early 1900s, the Friesian breed nearly became extinct when the market for the horses all but disappeared. In 1913, there were only three of their kind left, but luckily, the demand for the majestic creatures rose again and by the middle of the century there were around 500 of them.

From there, a group called De Oorsprong made it their mission to promote the awe-inspiring breed and their population rose even more. Today, there are approximately 25,000 Friesian horses in the world mainly located in the Netherlands.

Out of the 25,000, Frederik the Great earned the title of “most handsome,” and it’s easy to see why.

The famous horse has been adored by millions of people from all around the world, and he formed a rock group called “Alice with Manes.” (Okay, you got me, that last part was a joke, but you’ve got to admit that would be pretty cool!)
