Animals are great. Especially when it comes to pets, they’re loving, loyal, and protective to a fault. But there’s another reason that millions of people love dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and more…they have a comical side. Whether domesticated or wild, online videos show just how silly they are.

A horse, of course
In one video, which has been viewed almost one million times, you get to experience just how funny some animals are. This one involves two horses. The incident occurred just a couple of weeks ago while two friends were out riding.
Just an ordinary day
At the start of the video, you can tell that someone is filming while on a horse. As they walk down a paved road, you also hear the clip-clop sound of the hooves. So far, nothing seems strange or extraordinary. But that’s about to change.
There’s something ahead
As the video continues, you now see the shadows of both horses on the pavement. But if you pay attention to the upper left-hand side, you’ll notice a small object. At this point, the women riding have no clue what it is.
Getting closer
As the riders get a little bit closer, one of them goes ahead of the other. They’re still trying to determine what the “thing” by the side of the road is. This is also the part in the video where the horses’ ears become more erect. They too are curious.
Nope…not going any further
Suddenly, the horse that was ahead stopped in its track. With its eyes set on the object, it quickly turns around. There’s no way it’s going any closer. You can hear the other rider laughing. But viewers still don’t know what’s going on.
Seriously?
The second rider says to her friend, “This is scary, uh?” What they see on the side of the road is nothing else but a toy rocking horse. With both horses feeling uneasy, the two women can’t stop laughing. The horse that turned to walk away stares at it intently.
It’s so small
The rocking horse is quite small yet it has a huge impact on how the animals react. There are a lot of unanswered questions here. For instance, how in the heck did a toy like this end up by the road? Who did it belong to? What’s going on?
Trying again
The rider in the blue shirt is still trying to get her horse to walk past the toy. But it’s not interested whatsoever. She keeps turning it in one direction and then another, hoping it’ll help to calm her horse down. But at this point, nothing seems to be working.
Almost nose to nose
Finally, the woman is able to get her ride to approach the rocking horse. You can tell from the body language that her horse doesn’t like it. This massive animal just stares for a little bit before slowly walking ahead. Now the second horse approaches.
Similar reaction
Although this woman didn’t have to work as hard to get her horse to approach the toy, it’s still wary. Both animals are so confused, which only makes the riders laugh harder. But then something unexpected happens. The first horse wants to go in for a better look.
This is a hoot
Now standing about a foot from the rocking horse, the black horse leans down to look closely and probably try to get a whiff. The second horse follows suit. Who knows what was going on in their heads? Perhaps they thought this was one of their babies or a lost foal.
