What do you think of when it comes to a horse show? Probably not a comedy act, but that’s exactly what this hilarious duo delivers. They have the crowd roaring with laughter, and even go viral for their silly antics.

Tommie Turvey is a professional stunt horse trainer, who tends to steals the show with his trusty steed, Poker Joe!
Turvey grew up around horses his whole life, landing his first paying gig at just 10-years-old when horse owners would pay him to ride their young and untrained horses around the auction ring. Being in front of the audience was something he loved, so from there, he decided to make a life out of it.
At 19-years-old, the 2-time National Finals Rodeo “Act Of The Year” winner began working at Arabian Nights in Kissimmee, Florida, where trained under some of the most legendary horse trainers in the world. Turvey trains many horses and animals, but none stood out quite like Pokerjoe.
That’s probably why Turvey and Pokerjoe competed as a team at the 70th Annual Del Mar National Horse Show, in Delmar, California. And it was an act that had people begging for more.
The pair starts out with a simple salute until Turvey falls off of Pokerjoe!
He lands flat on his back, and that’s when the real show begins.
From there, Turvey gets pinned face-to-face under Pokerjoe and receives some sloppy horse kisses, before wiggling his way underneath the majestic creature and popping out the backside.
That’s when Turvey pulls off Pokerjoe’s saddle, and the horse proceeds to lay down flat on his side and playfully ignore the trainer’s pleas for him to get up.
The comedy continues…
Turvey does a somersault right over the top of Pokerjoe before rolling him onto his back and doing a musical act using his legs. After that, he finally gets the horse to roll over, only to be slid right off the back of him straight onto his behind.
He finally gets Pokerjoe back on his feet by pulling a carrot seemingly out of nowhere and enticing the animal with the tasty snack.
Turvey gets a running start and leaps right onto Pokerjoe’s back, only to get hysterically bucked off.
Don’t worry – he’s ok!
After that, the pair plays a funny game of tag, with Turvey running straight into the stands as the audience rolls with laughter.
When Pokerjoe finally catches the quirky trainer, it’s like deja vu as he gets some more big fat horse smooches!
For the grand finale, Turvey uses a little red box that he hides under while Pokerjoe stands on top of it, but that’s not even the best part…
Somehow, Turvey ends up with his face smushed right into the horse’s rear end, prompting the crowd to go crazy with laughter.
But the show must go on – even if you have a face full of the horse’s behind.
After getting stuck like that for a little bit, Turvey shows off his riding skills by riding out of the arena backward and lying down flat on his stomach. The comical act hit a funny bone with people on YouTube as well, gaining over 11.1 million views for the incredible duo.
These two are both extremely funny, and downright impressive! Tommie Turvey is a professional stuntman who makes it look easy, but these tricks are far from simple, so don’t try this at home!
